Finally, the last boulder was pulverized. There were no more footholds in the air. But Arbok had reached the necessary altitude. It coiled its body like a massive, loaded spring and triggered a violent expansion.
It launched itself like a black javelin at the hovering Talonflame.

The bird was ready. It folded its wings and dove, using a burst of speed to pull out of the line of fire.
At that momentum and height, Arbok had no way to change direction. It seemed destined to miss and fall back to the ground.

Mid-air, Arbok let out a thunderous roar. Its body began to spin with enough torque to generate a localized vacuum.
As it spun, every single black scale on its body—now reinforced by the Dragon Pattern—was ejected simultaneously. Fired from the highest point in the arena, the spread of the scales covered nearly the entire battlefield!

Arbok pushed off the energy shield. With its Speed maxed out by the "Meteor Shot," it turned into a blur of purple and gold. Lightning wreathed its fangs, and the dragon phantom around it roared with the sound of a thunderclap.

Using the ceiling for leverage, Arbok dove straight at the Talonflame below.
The air around the snake actually began to detonate in a series of sonic booms. It was moving so fast it looked like it was tearing the very fabric of space apart!

Before anyone could blink, Arbok slammed into the ground. A massive explosion rocked the stadium, sending a pillar of dust and debris fifty feet into the air.
The sky was suddenly clear.
Talonflame was gone.
