Chapter 219 - CHAPTER - 219 QUAN XIN DE SHENGHUO ( THE NEW LIFE )

Then Yuan looked at me and I looked at him, and then he said, "Come, little one, let's end your today's cheat day with your favourite pancakes," he said this to me.

And then I came closer to him at the kitchen counter where he was preparing the pancakes, and one of them was on the pan.

Then I looked at him and said, "Yuan, how can you be this perfect?" I asked him.

"How can I not be when my little one is so much more perfect? Then her husband needs to be a little more perfect," Yuan said.

Then I chuckled, and the pancake which was on the pan was now ready to eat. He plated that pancake specially for me and then took a tiny bite of it in his hand and put it into my mouth.

The moment I ate that pancake, each and every flavour of it blended in my mouth, and then I got so much amused by eating it that I immediately jumped a little more than my height to hug him.

I hugged him, and he immediately held me with his hands to make my body stable so that I wouldn't fall from there.

"Be careful, be careful, little one," Yuan said to me.

Then I said, "It's really not my fault."

"Then whose fault is it?" he asked me.

"It's yours only. Who asked you to be so tall?" I said to him.

He chuckled and said, "So that I can tease you."

"You five feet eleven inches," I said to him.

Then he said, "You five feet one inch."

Then we both laughed at each other's words.

Then I asked Yuan, "Yuan, put me down," I said.

"Hmm, but I don't want to. If it's really in my will or in my hands, then I'll definitely not leave you and hold you like this only forever in my arms," he said.

I smiled, and due to my shyness, I hid my face in his shoulder.

And then this was it. Like this, our days started passing so quickly, always together.

Then seasons passed. My Yuan Yuan got busy in his work, but never too busy for me, never.

Like this, days, weeks, and months started moving so fast.

Finally, the Chinese New Year came, where we were about to head to Shenzhen, but we didn't due to Yuan's new drama shooting schedule.

But we did video call Ma and Yuan's grandparents, where Yuan and I both talked to them and had a great Chinese New Year. We ate all the food together, and this is how our small little family happily celebrated the Chinese New Year.

Then by living with him, I didn't even realise how much I had changed, how much I had become someone more mature, someone more sensible, but still helpless and stupid in his love.

But Yuan, you really made Zhao Shiza a very different person. Your love made me realise what love actually looks like.

I was never good at family gatherings. I had always been born and brought up in a nuclear family. I don't have many relatives.

But Yuan's family—no, not Yuan's now, it's mine too.

He made his family mine.

His grandparents became mine.

I was never good at talking to my grandparents ever since my childhood. My Ma always used to tell me a set of paragraphs and words that I should speak to my own grandparents on phone calls during Chinese New Year. She always used to tell me what to say to them and how to greet them.

I was never good at it.

But when I came here into Yuan's family, his grandparents really made me a good granddaughter. I never knew that I could ever be one.

His grandparents made me realise what love from grandparents really looks like.

Maybe that's the reason I didn't get close to my own grandparents, because maybe I was fated to meet his grandparents as mine and receive the love of grandparents from them.

Then the years also started passing like that.

We didn't even realise how fast time moved.

Wang Ruoxi got married to someone whom her parents introduced to her through a blind date.

I was not able to attend her wedding because I got busy in my job, and I am currently working in an interior designing firm in Shanghai.

It's been two years of me working there.

Yuan also got lots of projects for his new dramas, where he became very busy.

After all, I have married China's heartthrob, Xu Yuan. I need to bear such types of consequences.

Our life continued on our day-to-day schedule where people usually think that love fades away with passing time, but I won't agree with it.

I think that love grows and blooms with passing time.

No matter how busy we got in our work, Yuan and I always made time for each other, where we shared our whole day with each other.

Sometimes he listened to me, and sometimes I listened to him.

Like this, we both shared our days together.

And it only made me realise that if someone is really important to you, then no matter how busy you get in your daily schedule, you always make time for that person.

It only depends on whether you want to or not.

Life kept moving, kept going on its track.

Then one weekend, on a Sunday, Yuan and I were sitting on the couch ready to watch a new romantic C-drama together.

The first episode had started.

Yuan sat beside me on the couch and said, "I don't know what kind of wife you are to me," he said.

"Why?" I asked him.

"Because on weekends, usually girls ask their husbands to go out and eat somewhere, but my wife asks me to stay at home and watch drama series together," he said.

"Because I'm different," I said.

He smiled while looking at me and said, "You are not different. You are unique and a rare piece which was made in a mould that God used to make you and then threw away that mould because no one is like you. No one is like my little wife. No one."

"Is this a compliment?" I asked him.

He smiled and said, "Indeed, it's a compliment."

Then I smiled again and said to him, "Because the answer to your question is that rather than going out with you, I prefer staying with you in our home only. All the weekdays we are outside only, so on weekends, on these days, I want us to spend time in our home only. I want every wall of our home to get filled with our presence and memories so that whenever we touch it, we can relive those sweet little moments and memories of us that we spent together," I said.

He smiled and looked at me and said, "You are such a thoughtful wife."

I smiled and said, "Now if my dear husband Yuan Yuan is done with praising me, then can we watch the drama?" I asked him.

He smiled and looked at me and said, "And here goes again. My silly girl's silliness is still there in her. No matter how much time has passed of us staying together, she never let her fangirl side of me get lost. She never let that fangirl get lost. She kept her alive inside herself even after marrying me. I didn't know that, I really didn't, how beautifully she handles it, but I do love it," he said.

Then Yuan held my hand in his and said, "Let's watch the series."

I smiled at him, and then we both looked at the screen to watch the new drama series' first episode.

I have never watched Yuan's drama episodes because I still am not able to watch him with other actresses.

And yes, it's right to say that I still have

n't gotten over my jealousy.

But what should I do when my Yuan Yuan is so charming?

What can I really do?

And then like this...
