And then we both got lost in each other, and this is how our wedding day was well spent by us.
The next morning, when the morning light hit the windows of our home—yes, our home—it felt a bit different from other mornings. I really don't know; maybe it's just me who feels like that. I think after getting married to him, I have completely gone mad, I said to myself while looking outside the window from our room.
Then when I looked at the sky, I saw that today's weather was really quite different. Today, the sun didn't come up in Shanghai. The whole weather just seemed like Zhao Shiza's type, I said to myself.
Then when I looked more closely at the sky, I saw a few droplets of rain pouring down, and the whole sky had become like an evening sky even in the early morning itself. The rain was getting heavier with each passing minute, and I really didn't expect that on the very next morning after our wedding, the weather would be like this in Shanghai. It seemed like God had blessed me and given me my wedding by making the weather so beautiful and exactly the way I love it.
And this rain wasn't the kind that created humidity. It was the kind of rain that made everything cold, soothing, and relaxing for everyone in Shanghai. After all, the rain had come after many days. Before that, it had all been just hot and humid, a typical Shanghai summer climate. But today, today it was really not like that.
While I was lost in my own thoughts, giving deep thought to today's weather in Shanghai, I felt his warm hands around me. It was my Yuan Yuan, who hugged me from behind.
"What is my little wife looking at?" he asked me.
"Your little wife is watching the weather and enjoying it because it's her favorite weather, and it came after a long time," I said to him while still looking outside the window.
Then he said, "So then this is definitely the time for my little silly wife's favorite breakfast," and immediately went out of the room.
And I knew he would return after almost half an hour with a breakfast tray in his hands, which would definitely have freshly chopped fruits, warm milk, porridge, dough sticks, and eggs in it.
But today Yuan shocked me because he returned to the room so quickly, within just a few minutes, without a breakfast tray in his hands like I had expected. But Yuan didn't come back empty-handed. He had something in his hand.
He came closer to me and said, "This weather calls for eating your favorite chocolate choco-chip ice cream," while handing me a bowl of my favorite ice cream.
Before I could say anything, he continued, "I know today is your cheat day, so start it with something you love. I know that yesterday, on our wedding day, you didn't eat much food. If you keep going like this, you'll become weak," he said.
Then I looked at him and asked, "Weak? What do you mean by that? Am I a weak person?" I asked him.
He smiled and said, "No, no, I didn't mean that. I want to say that if you skip your meals like this, then you'll become weak, which is not what I want," he said.
"I am not skipping food purposely. You know it, Yuan. When the wedding day comes, every girl feels nervous about it, and the same happened to me as well, which made me skip my meals because at that time no girl feels like eating anything," I said.
He smiled lightly and said, "I know. A girl's whole life is changing, so she must be worried about it. That is completely normal for her," he said.
Then I nodded my head and started eating the ice cream. The moment I took the first bite, I closed my eyes for a while and said while enjoying every bit of its flavor, "It's so delicious. This ice cream is indeed so delicious," I said.
He patted my head and said, "Eat well, my silly wife."
I chuckled the moment he said this to me, and then I enjoyed eating my favorite ice cream while looking at my favorite weather, with my only favorite person standing right beside me—my Yuan Yuan.
After some time, the rain in Shanghai still hadn't stopped. In fact, it was getting heavier with every passing hour.
Then Yuan gave me a jacket and said, "Stand up."
I did as he said.
Then he made me wear that double-coated thick jacket.
I said, "Yuan, what are you doing? See how nice today's weather is, and you are making me wear this huge thick jacket. This is truly an injustice to such pretty weather," I said.
Then he looked at me for a second and put a warm scarf around my neck.
"Now this is perfect," he said.
Without even listening to me, he went inside the room.
The moment he left, I removed the jacket and scarf and got back into my summer clothes—a T-shirt and pajamas.
"Now this is called relief," I said to myself while sitting on the couch.
After a few minutes, when he returned from the room with some socks and gloves in his hands, he got shocked after seeing me.
Then he looked at me for a while and said, "I didn't even think that you would remove those things so quickly," he said.
I smiled shamelessly and said, "Yuan, look. The weather is so nice. Why are you making me wear all those layers? I am really not a kid who catches a cold so quickly because of changing weather," I said.
Then he looked at me and said, "I know that you are not a kid, but you are forgetting that you are my little silly wife, which makes you even more fragile than kids," he said.
I exhaled dramatically and threw the cushion I was holding at him.
"You never leave a chance to tease me, do you?" I asked him.
He smiled and said, "How can I, when I know very well that you are so worth teasing?" he said.
Then I said, "Yuan, don't you have to go to a shoot today?" I asked him.
"No. Actually, today there is already nothing to do," he said.
"Then what about the drama you are shooting nowadays, the one in which you are going to play a role through every era, from ancient times to modern times?" I asked.
Then he looked at me and said, "Indeed, the fan girl in you still hasn't understood that
you have become my wife," he said.
And when he said that to me, I felt like...
