Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The Spider Web Cave (2)

"Ah?"

Ron exhaled a light thin mist, a feeling of heavy pressure permeated this coal mine.

"Do not move, everyone".

The detective spoke to everyone there, including Ron Irus.

Although all light was now lost, and Ron had been stripped of his eyes, he still felt a horrific pressure.

This was not the pressure emitted by a tiger, or even a demon, but a cold emotionless sensation of a biological machine.

It was like a human looking at a robot and being terrified when it is shaped like a human.

Or like a murderer ruthlessly and emotionlessly looking at a pile of human corpses.

A gaze of a demon piercing through humans, not craving flesh and blood, just looking.

"We are people of the regional police department under Mamtusrus, requiring you to raise both hands, kneel down and obediently surrender to be bound".

The detective pulled out a white glove from his pocket, it was strange that despite this pitch blackness there was something that looked like that yet illuminated a vast area around.

"What!"

"Wah!"

"Wait! Where did this pile come from?"

In that quiet dark space, it was full of black monofilament strings setting traps everywhere, tangled and denser than a spider web.

Originally the light bulbs earlier were high up, sparse in number, and the ground was full of coal and dust making it difficult to see.

"..."

Ron delivered a kick making the captain fly into the air, spinning a few times then falling to the ground toward that group of people.

Only pity that the captain was separated from them by a thick layer of black monofilament strings, meaning they had to cross that pile of strings, or negotiate with Ron.

Ron looked up at those before him, his face bearing a surreal coldness like a robot, although he no longer had eyesight, within the blood soaked eye sockets hid a strange golden white light.

It was like a sun piercing through the gloom of the night.

Ron glanced at the group of police standing frozen in one spot, his mouth moving slightly.

'Newbies? Arranged to take credit. Apprentice hounds of the "cockroach".?'

Ron glanced down at the person who had fainted lying on the ground, his gaze although lacking pupils was full of strange killing intent.

'Skin of the face fair, rosy, few dirty acne scars, clothes clean, tidy, no creases, wearing a ring, groin pain.'

Ron glanced at Almy again, then thought to himself regardless of the shifting world around.

'These people are unprofessional, being here not to kill but to arrest and detain. Using a magic explosion from the card as a signaling lighthouse, using the inspector's warrant to infiltrate the golem system, wanting to through my destruction of it create the crime of property damage and illegal entry to forcibly find an excuse to compel arrest. Simultaneously at the mine central base gathering all workers and someone has impersonated me to attack everyone, shifting the responsibility onto me.'

"...Are you guys that shallow? Did the 'cockroach' not train you to plan meticulously? Or is that the only thing you could think of? Truly foolish for a filthy plan".

Ron mocked the people surrounding him, he meticulously observed them, not a single notion of killing appeared on him, in return, except for the detective, everyone was glaring wanting to kill him.

Ron let out a light laugh, mocking, in just an instant, at the furthest point of the police group, a girl slightly gritted her teeth, an angry expression appeared for a moment then vanished, Ron had pinned that into his mind.

'Except for her, everyone else is on guard without revealing any emotion...'

The detective waited calmly, he was not in a hurry, in a dangerous situation like this one must be patient, he knew one thing that it was not him or the police here but Ron who was controlling the game.

'Provocation? Observing Microexpressions?'

He was not sure if Ron currently could actually see anything, if possible, surely that sentence had some purpose, if not, a magic condition or a form of behavioral provocation was the right choice.

"Tetraplegia!"

He shouted, his face calm but radiating determination through his eyes, immediately after the command, all the air in the district hall was sucked dry.

Pressure suddenly weighed heavily on everyone, forcing them to crave kneeling down, only one person did not care about that at all, and that person happened to be the center of the magic.

Ron Irus showed no emotion at all, he still stood firm against the massive pressure, and only seconds later, the pressure suddenly disappeared.

Right as a police officer was about to speak a word, suddenly Ron's hands sprouted branches of flesh and skin.

Instantly, it turned into dozens of hands and arms, the overwhelming number making it even larger than Ron's body.

And all hands were directed toward one thing, the sword stuck in Ron's chest.

3 seconds after the magic was mobilized, Ron had the sword pulled from his chest.
