Mary really did not want to agree to such a risky plan, but seeing the unwavering confidence in Noah's eyes made her realize that he was not going to be swayed.
He was absolutely certain that nothing bad would happen to him, and eventually, she could only give a reluctant nod of her head.
She let out a soft sigh of resignation and looked at him with a final, worried glance.
"Fine, just wait right here," Mary said as she prepared to leave the vehicle.
"I will go to the clinic and get the emergency heat stabilizer shot for you. Please, just stay inside the car with the doors locked until I get back."
Mary got down from the car and disappeared into the crowd of students, her small frame moving quickly toward the medical building.
After she left, Noah sat back against the leather seat, trying to regulate his breathing.
