A small smile curled up Adrian's lips at his response, he was sure this was Malvin's way of avoiding the situation.
Noting the smile on his lips, Malvin's anger flared, he slowly lifted his eyes to lock on Adrian. "Adrian, don't become too cocky simply because you've managed to turn this around."
His eyes narrowed with resentment. "No matter how much time passes... the truth will eventually come to light."
A calm smile spread across Adrian's face. There wasn't the slightest trace of anger or satisfaction in his expression.
If anything, he appeared remarkably relaxed, as though Malvin's words carried no weight whatsoever.
Then the smile slowly faded and his eyes sharpened. The warmth disappeared from them, replaced by a coldness that made the atmosphere inside the council chamber noticeably heavier.
"Seriously," Adrian said evenly, "I am in desperate need of that truth coming to light."
Malvin frowned. "You..."
