"Put your hand on my back!"
Whis instructed Trunks to place his hand against his back. Then, he tapped his staff against the ground, and the three of them instantly transformed into a streak of rainbow-colored light that shot into the sky.
The God of Destruction's World.
A streak of rainbow-colored light descended in front of the God of Destruction's palace.
"Is this the God of Destruction's World?"
Trunks and Bulma looked around in amazement.
The environment here was somewhat fantastical. They could even see fish swimming through the water—except the water itself was floating in midair.
"Come with me. I'll take you to meet Lord Beerus."
Whis led the two of them into the God of Destruction's palace.
"Mr. Whis, may I ask you something?" Bulma followed behind Whis, her eyes filled with curiosity.
"Go ahead."
"You said that every timeline has its own course of development. So why have you suddenly become so concerned about Zamasu?"
"..."
Whis suddenly stopped walking.
Trunks didn't react in time and bumped straight into Whis's back.
"Ow!"
Trunks sucked in a sharp breath and frantically rubbed his nose. Mr. Whis's back felt as hard as an iron wall!
"What I said earlier was indeed true, but there is a prerequisite..."
"What prerequisite?"
"That I know nothing about it. If I know nothing about Zamasu's existence, then I will respect the historical development of the timeline itself. But if I already know about Zamasu, then things are different."
Whis spoke with a completely serious expression before continuing forward.
Bulma and Trunks exchanged a glance.
The mother and son were utterly speechless.
So, when all was said and done, this Angel simply didn't want to fall into an eternal slumber!
The three continued walking down the long corridor.
"By the way, regarding the candidate God of Destruction from the Seventh Universe in that other timeline... Do you know anything else about him?"
"I know a few things. Uncle Goku told me that Lord Gran's strength is terrifying..."
"Uncle Goku?"
"Oh, right. The Uncle Goku I mentioned is also a Saiyan. When I traveled back to the past this time, I actually wanted to bring heart disease medicine back to him..."
"I see. Go on, then. Tell me more about this Gran."
"Okay..."
The corridor stretched on for a long distance, and Trunks's voice echoed continuously through it.
Whis led the way, occasionally nodding as he listened.
Finally!
They arrived before a massive door.
"Mr. Whis, that's everything I learned about Lord Gran from Uncle Goku."
Trunks finished telling Whis everything he knew about Gran.
Whis stood before the door. He didn't immediately push it open. Instead, he fell into thought, carefully considering everything Trunks had told him.
To be capable of shattering the sky meant that Gran's strength had to be at least above the First Stage of the Divine Realm.
To be capable of completely destroying an object from existence meant that he had mastered the Power of Destruction, or perhaps even the very Laws of Destruction.
And to restore a destroyed environment to its original state meant that he had also mastered the power of time.
"From what Trunks has told me, that Gran doesn't seem to be very old. For someone so young to have mastered so many different powers..."
Whis became increasingly curious about his "disciple" from another timeline.
If he ever had the opportunity, he truly wanted to meet him.
What a pity...
He couldn't casually travel through time.
Whis sighed. Then he stepped forward and gently pushed open the massive door.
The instant the door opened, a violent wave of divine energy surged out from within.
This was the sound of Beerus's snoring.
If an ordinary person were struck by this overwhelming aura, they would undoubtedly be reduced to nothing but dust.
Fortunately, Whis waved his staff, causing a sphere of silvery-white light to envelop Trunks and Bulma. Only then were they able to remain completely unharmed.
"That scared the life out of me!"
Bulma patted her chest.
When that wave of snoring energy swept over them just now, she felt as though she were facing a destructive storm caused by the explosion of an entire planet.
Trunks wasn't doing much better.
His face had gone completely pale.
From his perspective, it felt as though he were standing directly in the path of a storm born from the destruction of an entire universe.
"Come in."
Whis led them into the space where Beerus was sleeping.
The space was enormous, causing Trunks and Bulma's eyes to widen.
"Trunks, there's a kitty over there!"
Bulma suddenly noticed a floating rock high above them.
And lying on top of that rock was a hairless, purple cat.
"Mom, don't say anything stupid!"
Trunks hurriedly covered his mother's mouth.
He had never met Beerus before, but who else could be sleeping in a place like this?
Other than the true God of Destruction, there was no one else!
Whis glanced at the two of them.
Then he shifted his feet.
In an instant, he appeared beside Beerus.
"Lord Beerus, wake up!"
Unlike his usual habit of teasing Beerus awake, Whis simply grabbed him and shook him directly.
"Hm?"
Beerus suddenly opened his eyes.
The veins on his forehead bulged.
He was clearly about to unleash the full force of his legendary morning temper.
However!
BAM!
Whis's staff smashed directly into his head.
Beerus's eyes instantly bulged outward, and his murderous morning rage vanished without a trace.
Trunks and Bulma were utterly stunned by the scene before them.
It was now obvious.
This skinny purple cat was the God of Destruction of their timeline.
But wasn't a God of Destruction supposed to be an imposing and awe-inspiring figure?
How could he possibly be getting beaten by an Angel?
What the mother and son didn't know was that...
Angels were actually far more powerful than Gods of Destruction.
If Whis wanted to lay a hand on Beerus, Beerus wouldn't have the slightest ability to fight back.
"Grrr!"
Beerus clutched his head and glared angrily.
"Whis! What the hell are you doing?"
"Lord Beerus, something has happened."
