Sitting down in the front row was nothing but endless trouble for me, the girls kept giving me infatuated looks and the boys wanted nothing but to kill me on the spot .
The seat was quite comfortable so instead of caring much about all of this I bent on the chair and closed my eyes as well, resting and isolating myself from all the noise around me .
After a few minutes, I began to hear the sound of footsteps coming from the door behind the podium and understood that finally the ceremony was about to begin, I turned to my right and Juvia wasn't there, instead a brown haired girl was currently in that seat instead .
She was chatting with a black haired petite girl next to her, I didn't want to be seen as eavesdropping on their conversation, so I instead tried to whisper Juvia and instantly from behind me came the sound of Juvia saying :
I'm in the seat right behind you master .
That's the most weird ability I had ever heard someone have, Juvia magic mainly worked based on the fluctuations in vibration, her magic affinity was leaning towards water, she is able to tell where someone is judging by the fluctuations he made .
That shouldn't explain how is she always able to hear me and respond whenever I called her, but I'm beginning to believe that's a big part of the explanation, I was fascinated by this new type of Magic and directly integrated in the Magical sequence I acquired from that major officer from before .
Fusing the two I was able to make SKYNET, a magic that once used can directly pinpoint the location of someone or anything based on me getting familiar with the fluctuations it make, not only can I track people or items with it, but using my Spatial Eyes I can even directly integrate my eyes into where he or it was and see what he was currently doing .
The only problem lies with dealing with signal jamming devices, or places that is completely sealed away, the first would stop my ability to invade the web and use it as a gate and the latter would only allow me to use the first if I wanted to keep watching .
But all in all SKYNET still under development, but I'm quite optimistic in being able to perfect it soon enough, just as I was thinking of this, I suddenly heard the voice of somone beside me saying in an embarrassed and thin kind of tone :
Excuse me, but did she just called you Master .
I hearing the voice turned around slightly and as my eyes scanned the person who spoke and found that it was none other than the brown haired girl next to me, she too seemed to be scanning me with a blush on her face .
Juvia :
He is indeed my one and only Master, everything that I have is owned to him and by him, what of it ? .
Juvia for some reason began talking in a strange way and said all that, I couldn't help but turn to her first and with a questioning look I wondered about what exactly was she trying to do, making her words sound so... Weird .
But all I saw was her resilience and tough act, seeing her like this I understood that the girl won't be persuaded, so I tried to clear the confusion by explaining it to the girl on my right, but I saw that her face seemed to have the most weird expression I had ever seen, it was difficult to describe, it carried a hint of shame, intrigue, shock and more absurd emotions .
Then I saw her face was becoming bright red and the redness was increasing by the second, just as I lost confidence in being able to convince her, the black haired petite girl behind her directly patted her on the shoulder and said :
I believe that she meant that she was his maid, not as you are thinking Honoka .
Honoka the girl that was being reprimanded by her friend directly closed the distance between our faces and asked :
Is that true ? .
I being asked this question didn't know what exactly was in that girl named Honoka mind but I still nodded my head and said :
" Well, she is indeed my companion, but I don't want to go into details, I hope you understand .
The girl face lit up slightly, I didn't understand the reason, but the chair back of mine had someone suddenly kick it from behind, I turned to Juvia and all I heard was a cold hmph .
I didn't know how did I manage to anger her, but I didn't have the chance to even ask, I heard the sounds of the doors being opened and instantly silence reigned the place, completely vanquishing the noise and the bustling scene just now .
Honoka also seemed to have become tensed and was completely focused on the podium and the people who were making their ways towards it, the School Counsel and all its members were present, they were all led by the familiar Saegusa Mayumi .
Marking the start of the Entrance Ceremony, the Council President give a brief greeting and for the next 10 minutes she gave a very detailed speech about honor and sticking to one values in aspiration to become someone helpful not only to your colleagues, but to all of the society .
After she finished talking, I found that we share more than I would like to confess in terms of thoughts, so after hearing her speech, I couldn't help but applaud her for it, I was the only person clasping his hands at first, the others finally seemed to have come back to their senses and started clasping as well .
As I was the first person to clasp, not to mention that I was sitting in the front raw not to far away from here, she was able to locate me and she actually glared at me for a brief moment there, I couldn't help but wonder why she did that, but I wasn't given that much time to dwell on it .
Just as I was about to apologize to her by bowing my head, she actually surprised everyone was calling me and the person with the second highest score on the entrance exam to come on the stage, me, Miyuki, the latter stood up directly but didn't take a step forward, adhering to the school protocol .
I'm to be the one in the lead, but I was still shocked at how petty was this student council president was, she even did something as breaking the ceremony's protocol just to take some revenge on me, I was able to tell that due to many reasons .
First was due to being handed the program of the ceremony beforehand, I read that their were at least three more people that should be given the mic to say something respectful to their roles in the school before I get my turn as this batch representative, but she just skipped all this and called me out directly .
Second reason was that I saw it on the faces of the other 4 girls standing on the stage, they were too bewildered at this turn of events, but in the end they just accepted whatever was going on with her .
I could have been troubled before by this sudden development, but luckily I had prepared the speech beforehand, so it really didn't matter to me when was my turn to give a speech .
I passed by Miyuki and the moment I began to ascend the small stairs towards the stage I was suddenly under the limelight of the whole place metaphorically and literally, in the program I was handed, there was no mention of the lights in the place being focused this much on me .
If these flashs of light were putting me even more under the spotlight, I received the applaud of many people and the adoring gazes of many girls and the snickers of even more people, even with me not wanting to hear all the comments circling around me, I was still unable to do so .
A red haired girl was sitting in the back rows began whistling and making a scene while another girl with glasses was trying to calm her down, surprisingly they all sat next to a nonchalant guy that I know, I couldn't help but wonder how that came to be .
The girl seeing that I looked in her direction frowned slightly and stopped what she was doing, but I didn't want things to end here, so seeing that she was bothered by me noticing her, I decided to go for revenge as well and winked in her direction .
The cries of the girls grew even louder and all of them began to say that the wink was for her, the red haired girl in the distance whom the wink was actually for looked to be quite embarrassed by this as she lowered her head and buried her face in the lap of her female friend who was staring at me with quite weird curiosity and interest .
I was able to see that there seemed to be something special about her eyes, but the glasses she wore made me unable to probe any further, I couldn't help but turn to look at the Tatsuya and think that he always able to encounter some of the most interesting group of people .
Cough, cough .
I was engrossed in watching the crowds too much to the point of completely forgetting about what I was here for, I Instinctively apologized again and approached the mics after thanking the president first and apologizing to the other 4 girls and completely ignored the strong guy who was overseeing this Ceremony from the back .
The reason I mentioned him was because he seemed to be trying to gauge my strength and whether he will be able to win if he fought with me, I could have shown him the gap between us, but rules are rules, I only looked at him from the corner of my eyes for a slight of a second, then finally began my speech :
" Ummm, Good morning for all of you, my name is Yotsuba Ryuu, I would be attending First High with all of you for the next upcoming 3 years, I hope we all get along well, believe it or not this whole attending school is quite a new experience for me, so if I make any mistakes or offended anyone know that either it was deserved or unintentional .
" I was tasked to give a speech for all my fellow freshmen, I had thought for quite some time about what should I talk to you about and finally I came to write a speech that should be to your liking .
" My speech would be quite summarized due to not wanting to waste any of yours or our precious seniors time, my speech would be regarding the investment we all need to make in ourselves in the next 3 years .
" Everyone should have came to this school for the sake of trying to achieve a certain aspiration, a dream he wish to make real, a career he wanted to pursue, magic he wanted to learn more about and master .
" What is the most valuable thing that we will need to make sure of keeping under check, I would say that it's time, after all it is known that Time doesn't waits for anyone, so I here appeal to all of you and advise you to make sure you benefit to your maximum from your time here .
" Remove any obstacles that might come in between you and your dreams, if someone tried to annex you, then this is how you can prove him and everyone else wrong, by managing your time and do own part of hard work, I promise that after this 3 years pass, you would be looking at those gates and thinking that it was my best and biggest investment, sorry if I took longer time, good luck to everyone .
I said this and directly descended from the stage and sat back where I was, after a few seconds passed the hall that seemed to be deathly silent began bustling with cheers, whistles, applaud, the chant 'we understand' kept being uttered .
Only after the voices became loud enough did the people on the stage finally reacted, the Student Council President was a bit shaken by the crowds or my words, I'm unable to say for certain, but she had to calm the excited crowds first before passing the mic to Miyuki .
Miyuki speech was different than mine on the surface but in essence it followed the same pattern of wanting to ask them to do their best, but her focus was more on the ability and differences between people, which earned her a loud applause as well, but maybe because she spoke out loud about those differences that made some people not accept her speech .
But anyway after she finished her speech, then finally came the turn of the guys who were interrupted before, their talks were regarding the school rules and the different club activities and how we all should be learning from one another .
One orange haired senpai that looked quite adorable was a bit shy at first when she was handed the mic to finally bring this Ceremony to an end, after she barely managed to say where should be heading afterwards .
I decided to reward her and ordered Fluffy to jump suddenly on the podium and then he spat out some glowing fireworks that have not that much of an impact, but they were glowing like flowers petals .
The appearance of the fireworks alarmed everyone but then they became more mesmerized than shocked, the girl who this show was all for, was staring blankly at this scene, her eyes glittering with joy and happiness, but just as scene appeared to be joyful, a stern woman suddenly stepped forward in front of the orange haired senpai and shielded her behind, looking to be quite guarded .
I urged Fluffy to stand on the podium and I made him spread his paw towards the woman while taunting her to attack, the reason for doing that was simple, it was fun .
The stern woman looked at me all of a sudden, seeing my smile she directly used Acceleration and appeared in front of of then the metal baton in her hand was aimed directly towards my neck and she said :
Don't you know that it's forbidden to use magic in the school grounds ? .
" Senpai, what do you mean I haven't used any magic, that little guy can testify for me .
I pointed at the rabbit and it nodded its head directly indicating his agreement, then she said embarrassingly :
Then how do you explain his ability to communicate with you ? .
" Well, anyone can communicate with it actually, it's quite the Magical creature after all .
The creature raised his head up as if boosting about himself .
" See, senpai, he just a silly rabbit who wants to make some friends .
