Chapter 300 - Meeting Keita Again

As soon as Eichi stepped inside, he could feel the Bug Force within his body stirring. It was exceptionally active, even stronger than when he was in the forests outside the school.

Eichi released his four Pokémon: Beedrill, Scizor, Heracross, and Wimpod. The moment they appeared, they keenly sensed that the air was saturated with Bug-type energy particles. Inhaling deeply, they felt an immediate sense of comfort. Eichi noted that the Bug-type energy particles accounted for over 60% of the air in this room. Every breath was thick with Bug-type essence.

Suddenly, Wimpod's body twitched as if it had sensed something. It darted toward a specific direction, and Eichi followed with the other three Pokémon. After crossing several trees, he discovered a pond. Wimpod let out a small cry and jumped straight in, swimming happily. Eichi felt the air in this specific area; it was roughly 50% Bug-type energy and 40% Water-type energy, with other types making up the remaining 10%.

Eichi looked around and spotted an instruction manual posted on the wall near the entrance. It detailed how to use the training equipment and where everything was located. He studied it carefully, committing every detail to memory.

Then, the training began. First was speed training. Eichi ordered Beedrill, Scizor, and Heracross to fly 50 laps around the entire training room. Wimpod was tasked with swimming 20 laps in the pond.

When Beedrill, Scizor, and Heracross finished their laps, they weren't particularly exhausted. On the contrary, they were full of energy. Usually, if Eichi trained them like this in a forest, they would be panting slightly after the flight. Now, they weren't winded at all. Considering the high proportion of Bug-type energy in the air, he understood the true efficacy of the training room.

Next, Eichi arranged move training. Even Wimpod felt no fatigue after its 20 laps. Eichi realized that under these conditions, he could increase the intensity and duration of the sessions, leading to much stronger results. If they trained in the Attribute Training Room every day, the cumulative effect over time would be terrifying.

It would create a massive gap between him and others. Eichi believed Sato had likely realized this too. Unfortunately for Sato, he didn't have Eichi's luck. Since all of Eichi's Pokémon were Bug-types, the effectiveness of this room was multiplied several times over for his team. Sato's team had varied types, meaning only one or two of his Pokémon would gain significant benefits during a single session.

Shifting his focus back to the present, Eichi pushed his four Pokémon through an intense workout. The volume was several times higher than their usual routine, yet they felt no more tired than they did after a standard session.

Three hours passed quickly. Once the time was up, Eichi didn't overextend. He led his four Pokémon out and ran into Sato at the front desk.

"Sato, you're here to train too?" Eichi greeted him.

Sato turned and nodded.

"Today was my first time seeing the Attribute Training Room," Eichi said. "The results are truly amazing."

Hearing this, Sato looked envious. He suddenly remembered that all of Eichi's Pokémon seemed to be Bug-types. If Eichi came here every day, his progress would be frightening. Sato, on the other hand, felt a bit pitiful. Very few of his Pokémon shared the same type, so he had to switch rooms constantly. Sometimes he couldn't even book the specific type he wanted. It was quite a disadvantage.

Back at the dorm, Eichi bathed his four companions and summarized their progress. After two days of training, Heracross had improved by roughly one level. While Beedrill and Scizor had made progress, they hadn't leveled up yet. Wimpod showed the most significant growth. It had started at Level 8, but as of today, it was nearly Level 15—a massive leap. Specifically, after the session in the Attribute Training Room tonight, it had jumped a full level.

Regarding moves, there were no major changes for the older three, but Wimpod's three moves showed clear improvement. All three had reached the Skilled mastery level. After his summary, Eichi gave each of them a massage, turned off the lights, and went to sleep.

In the middle of the night, everything was silent. Most people were asleep, with only a few staff members on patrol. Noctowl stood watch on utility poles and rooftops, their eyes scanning the area. Most of the streetlights had been turned off, leaving only a few dim glows.

A high perimeter wall separated the academy from the surrounding forest. The wall was topped with barbed wire, and several generators sat at its base. This was the electric fence—the first line of defense against wild Pokémon trying to sneak in. Countless cameras monitored the area, and numerous hidden traps were scattered across the open ground.

Suddenly, a dark shadow blurred past with lightning speed. Not a single camera caught it, and the electric fence wasn't triggered. Only a faint, flickering shadow could be seen on the ground. The Pokémon had broken into Silver Academy undetected.

Under the cover of darkness, it moved toward its target. It seemed familiar with the campus, skillfully bypassing obstacles to reach a dormitory. It climbed up the back of the building and stopped at a window, peering inside.

The faint light from the streetlights was dim, yet the intruder seemed able to see the person and Pokémon inside clearly. The Pokémon within hadn't noticed a thing; they were sleeping soundly. Looking at the snoring Heracross, the intruder let out a sigh of relief. It opened its palm, revealing a round bead.

It moved to open the window to place the bead inside but hesitated and pulled its hand back. After a moment of indecision, it chose not to open the window. With one last look at Heracross, it turned and vanished into the night. It was as if it had never been there. Only after it left did Eichi snap his eyes open, belatedly sensing that something had been there.

The next day, Eichi was in class. During the break, he suddenly heard a piece of news: Keita was back.
