Chapter 248: Disguises, Transformations, and Zayrion's Unrepentant Excitement
Brixton looked at each of them in turn.
Velira with her bunny. Thalira still holding it now, her light blue hair catching the mineral glow. Retheris with his fingers still against the stone. Zayrion with his glasses and his quiet, patient stillness.
Then he nodded.
"I'm in."
Zayrion smiled.
It was small and immediate and entirely genuine, which on his face was somehow more dangerous than anything elaborate would have been.
Thalira smiled too. Then Retheris. Velira didn't smile so much as look satisfied.
Zayrion stood then.
"Since that's settled," he said, "it's time to get things in place."
He looked between them, adjusting his glasses once.
"Retheris and Thalira will go as their parents," he said. "Brixton will go as his father."
Brixton nodded. That made sense. They could not just walk into the place as they were, but if they went as their parents, they would get free entry.
