Chapter 140: The Truth

"That is what happened after you finished the game," said John Kennedy, or rather, Steve Roger now. "I also received the Ancient One template."

Earlier, John had already told Zack everything that happened during his disappearance. From the strange bald alien, to being dragged out of their world and finally waking up in an orphanage with a system installed in his mind. The one responsible for all of this, apparently, was that unknown bald alien who treated human lives like pieces on a board.

Dudley listened quietly until the end. Then he smiled faintly.

"I do not know what to say, brother," Dudley said. "But since we are already in this world, we might as well enjoy our lives here, our world was too boring."

"You are right," Steve nodded. "That world was honestly boring. No magic, no wonder, nothing interesting at all."

Then his expression shifted. "Wait… tell me something. Why did Amelia Bones become the Minister of Magic?"

"That was my doing," Dudley replied casually. "Just like you, I also received a golden finger which is a game system. Mine let me use ancient magic, the same magic in the Hogwarts Legacy."

He paused before continuing. "I came to this world last year. I did what any transmigrator would do. I made use of the plot."

Steve stared at him.

"Do not tell me," Steve said slowly, his mouth slightly open. "You saved Sirius Black?"

"Yes," Dudley nodded. "Sirius Black was saved because of me and not only that, I was also the reason Dolores Umbridge was thrown into prison."

"YOU PUT UMBRIDGE IN PRISON?" Steve nearly shouted before quickly lowering his voice. Then he exhaled deeply. "Good job. I never liked that woman."

Dudley laughed. "To be honest, it was an accident. I never expected that simply calling Amelia Bones would end with Umbridge being arrested and sent to prison."

Steve shook his head in disbelief before asking another question. "What about Voldemort attack on the Ministry? Was that also you?"

Dudley lowered his voice. "Yes, brother. You do not know how bad it was. That terrorist started attacking Muggles openly and the Ministry response was infuriating."

Steve went silent for a moment.

"Do not tell me…" he said carefully. "You took human lives?"

When Steve fought Death Eaters himself, he remembered the sick feeling in his stomach. However, the memories of the Ancient One had stabilized him. She had killed many people in her lifetime and that experience had tempered his emotions.

Dudley sighed before nodding. "Yes."

"I…" Steve hesitated. "How do you feel after… taking their lives?"

"Nothing," Dudley answered honestly. "My game system can filter trauma."

Steve eyes widened. "Wait, does that mean you are emotionless?"

"No, prat," Dudley snorted. "It just means I can turn it on or off. I do not keep it active all the time. I only activate it during battle."

Steve finally relaxed.

"Good," he said quietly. "I would be worried if you really became a monster."

Dudley smiled faintly. "Do not worry. I am still your brother."

"But brother, the Ancient One power… if I am not mistaken, you draw power by borrowing it from others, right?" Dudley asked cautiously.

"Yes," Steve replied without hesitation.

Dudley frowned. "Do not tell me that being really exists?"

Steve turned his head slowly, studying Dudley expression. "No. Do you really think celestials and those so-called cosmic beings exist?" he asked in return.

"They do not exist?" Dudley asked again, disbelief creeping into his voice.

"Of course they do not exist. They are nothing more than fiction," Steve said firmly. "The reason we are stuck in this world is not because of them, they claimed to be god but remember this god wasn't born and no one, not even angel can kill god. If someone die in natural courses or being killed that thing wasn't a god. The reason we are here is because of those aliens kidnapped us. That is all."

Silence fell between them, Dudley opened his mouth as if to speak, then closed it again. His thoughts were clearly tangled. After a few moments, he tried once more.

"Brother, do you think those aliens…" He stopped himself again, his voice trailing off.

Steve let out a tired sigh. "I know what do you want to ask, even if it was true, what can we do? We eat here, we sleep here, and we even poop here," he said dryly. "This world is real to us now. So just live. Enjoy it."

Dudley chuckled weakly. "You are right, brother." He paused, then his expression turned serious. "By the way, what is your plan for the future? Can your Ancient One template lend magic power to others?"

The moment the words left his mouth, Dudley eyes widened. A sudden thought struck him, His parents are muggles and now he and Harry had become Voldemort number one enemy.

It will put them in danger.

Steve noticed the expression on Dudley face and smirked. "Do you plan to share that magic with someone?"

"Yes, of course," Dudley replied without hesitation. "I plan to share the magic power with my parents in this world."

Steve blinked. "You have parents? Who?"

"My name is Dudley Dursley," Dudley said calmly. "My parents are Vernon and Petunia."

Steve was truly shocked. His mouth opened wide before he could stop himself. "You mean those two? The menace and the child abusers became your parents?"

"Brother, relax," Dudley said softly. "I know what they did in the past was unforgivable. But forgiving them was never my right. That right belongs to Harry. He alone decides whether they deserve forgiveness or not."

Dudley took a deep breath, his voice growing steadier. "For me, what matters is the present. Their kindness toward me, their care, those memories… they gave me something I never had before. Parents."

Steve fell silent.

Unlike Dudley, Steve still remembered his own parents from his past. He remembered warmth, protection, and unconditional love. Hearing Dudley words made his chest feel strangely heavy.

He sighed. "You are right. Harry is the only one who has the right to forgive or not," Steve said slowly. "As for my magic, I can lend it to others. But it will weaken me since I must share it. Still, for both of your parents, I can manage."

Dudley looked at him with visible relief. "Thank you, brother. You do not need to share it for long. I only want them to be safe during this Voldemort era. Once that noseless terrorist loses the war, you can take the power back."

Steve snorted. "Noseless terrorist… that sounds about right."
