After a bit over half of a year, the Dark Dynasty had collected almost every single title belt within the organization.
Black Knight held the SWF American Championship as well as being half of the SWF Tag Team Championship team with Twilight Killer.
Killer himself was the SWF Heavyweight Champion in addition to his tag championship.
Black Maria had formed a tag team with Night Queen. The two had recently taken possession of the SWF Women's Tag Team Championship after defeating the Amazon Warriors.
Night Queen of course, was the SWF Women's Champion as well. She had also just won the newly introduced SWF Mixed Tag Team Championship. With three titles, she was easily the most decorated woman in the entire organization.
The leader of the Dark Dynasty, Black Mask, had the most important title in the organization as the SWF Universal Champion. He was of course, the other half of the team with Night Queen that won the new SWF Mixed Tag Team Championship.
While Dark Mistress was not technically a part of the Dark Dynasty, she was still a representative of the group. She had won the SWF Women's American Championship for herself.
The only belts that didn't belong to the Dark Dynasty or a competitor affiliated with them were the SWF Women's International Championship, the SWF World Tag Team Championship, and the SWF International Championship.
One night on Monday Night Real, Dark Mistress was taking part in a Fatal Four Way match that was a title eliminator for the SWF Women's International Championship.
In the match after that, Lamelo Jaxson took on Domingo Mystery in a top contender match for the SWF International Championship. Jaxson ended up losing a competitive match as Mystery used some underhanded tricks to get the win.
Jaxson was visibly upset by his loss as he walked back stage. He happened to walk past Black Mask on his way, but it wasn't a coincidence.
"That was an excellent match you fought. It's unfortunate that you didn't walk away with a victory. You have the makings of a champion." Black Mask told him.
"Hey man, just leave me alone." Lamelo didn't know what Black Mask's angle was but he wasn't in the mood for whatever it was.
"Do you want to pout and feel sorry for yourself, or do you want to a champion? One of the greatest ever!" Black Mask demanded.
"What are you talking about?" Lamelo asked, slightly startled by Black Mask's sudden outburst.
"It's quite simple, if you join me then I can help you accomplish things that you would never have thought possible. I can make you a champion."
Lamelo was a bit taken aback my the offer from Black Mask. "I don't know, I mean shouldn't you be asking the guy that just beat me? He seems like he's more like what you guys would be looking for anyway."
"Don't be ridiculous. There's a difference between doing whatever it takes to win and someone who can't win without tricks." Black Mask responded.
Lamelo thought it over for a while. He did want to be a champion, but he wasn't sure if he could trust Black Mask. The Dark Dynasty had been getting a worse and worse reputation as time went on.
"So what exactly do you want from me? What's in it for you?" Lamelo asked.
"All I want is for you to achieve your full potential. As for what I get out of this, there is a quite substantial role that I want you to fulfill. Actually there's two roles I want you to fill."
"What would that be?"
"The first is quite simple, I'm currently looking for a teammate that I can challenge for the SWF World Tag Team Title with."
"You want me be your Tag Team partner?"
"That's exactly right. If you side with me we will dominate the Tag Team division and eventually you will win more titles of your own."
"I don't know this is all kind of sudden, I don't really know what to say."
"It's a big decision, don't feel rushed to answer. However, if you take too long I may have to offer this opportunity to someone else."
Lamelo paused for a moment and considered the opportunity that Black Mask offered him for some time before finally answering him. "Fine, if you can really make me a champion then I'll accept your offer."
"That's very good. I'm glad to hear that you can be reasoned with." Black Mask said as he shook his hand.
"There's just one more thing that I was curious about." Lamelo said. "You said there were two roles that you wanted me to take on. What's the other one?"
"Ah of course. The second role is the most important one." Black Mask said. "I plan for you to be the one who inherits the crown of the Black King. You will be Black Mask's successor."
Black Mask and Lamelo Jaxson went on to form a tag team called Black Excellence. They would utterly and ruthlessly destroy the tag team division and eventually win a shot at the SWF World Tag Team Championship.
