New York – Parker Tower, Peter's penthouse:

Finally, the world was... silent.

The newsfeeds had calmed. The protests were fading. The cities had found a rhythm again. Uncertain but hopeful and high above it all, in a quiet Penthouse overlooking the lights of Manhattan, me and Gwen finally had a moment that belonged only to us.

The soft hum of the city filtered through the window. Rain's soft pitter patter whispered against the glass.

Gwen sat on the couch in one of my old shirts, hair loose and eyes tired but bright. I leaned beside her, still half in my work clothes, the faint neon orange glow of the Sandevistan illuminated the dimly lit room.

For a while, we didn't speak.

We didn't need to.

Gwen broke the silence first.

"You saved the world again, genius."

I chuckled.

"Yeah. And somehow I still haven't finished the Stark Foundation paperwork."

She smiled, leaning her head on my shoulder.

"You can't save everyone, Peter. You don't have to."

I looked down at her, the smallest ache in my voice.

"I know. But I keep trying anyway."

"That's what I love about you." She said softly.

I blinked, caught off guard by the simple honesty of it. Gwen smiled, tracing her finger along my jawline.

"You never stop fighting for people. Even when it hurts."

I took her hand in mine, fingers fitting perfectly like two pieces of a puzzle.

"You're the reason I still believe they're worth fighting for."

For a moment, time slowed.

The city's lights outside softened into a shimmer of gold.

The hum of traffic became the quiet rhythm of two hearts beating in sync.

Gwen looked up at me, eyes reflecting the skyline.

"When's the last time we just… stopped? No battles. No suits. No saving the planet."

I smiled. "Now, I guess."

She laughed quietly. "Good answer."

I reached up, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. The touch lingered, the kind of touch that said more than words ever could.

We leaned into each other, not out of urgency, but out of need. A slow, quiet return to something simple and human.

Her forehead rested against mine.

My breath trembled as he whispered, "You're my calm in the chaos, Gwen."

"And you," She murmured, "are the reason I can still dream."

Outside, thunder rumbled distantly but inside, everything was still. The world could wait. The universe could wait.

For tonight, it was just us. Two souls who had carried too much, finding peace in the space between heartbeats.

The rain deepened outside, wrapping their world in silver light.

And for the first time in a long while, I let himself rest. My head against Gwen's, her hand finding mine, our future unspoken but certain.

Because in all the noise and brilliance and burden of creation…

This... this quiet, this warmth, this love

was what I had been building toward all along.
