The fields were empty with the sunlight warmly blazing onto the ground, the four walls stood tall at all sides.
Kario and Zipporah stood opposite sides of the inside field, they chose it because of the wildlife outside and feared they will hurt a few creatures,
Ivy sat on a stone beach with a large size popcorn in her laps, she munched on it before the fight even began happily looking from left to right in enthusiasm.
Kario stood tall at the left side in a deep orange jeans shorts that reaches hi keens, black laced boots and a shirt had no sleeves and he pulled his fingerless gloves down tightening them well, his orange hair was tied up but he let a few locks at both sides of his face down.
Zipporah standing at the right side has changed into a uniform simple for her fighting style , a white long sleeves top and a very loose red trousers secured with a black bet, she had her sword at her hip and her fox mask on, she wear only a long white socks with her hair in a ponytail that flowed with the wind.
" you could avoid this Zippy, the orange tiger flames for more powerful everyone knows that" Kairo spoke slowly bending to a position ready to sprint, his short nails growing long and sharp like that of a tiger,
" don't underestimate me if you're too full of yourself Kairo " Zipporah said while putting one hand on the sword and the other on it head ready to drew, she lowered herself slightly eyes locked on Kairo.
After some seconds of silence they both turn their head to look at Ivy with a confused look.
Ivy looked between them still chewing loudly, " wait me? " she pointed at herself, Zipporah gave her a look almost like saying I can't believe you.
" oh sorry " she placed the popcorn down and got up
" START!!! "
Before the word could land, the two charged at each other with lightning speed. Dust burst from the ground, their footprints left deep in the earth where they once stood.
Zipporah drew her sword and, in one swift motion, brought it down toward Kairo.
He blocked it with his claws.
The impact forced them apart, both sliding back across the field.
Zipporah tightened her grip on her sword, her eyes narrowing.
He blocked my blade… with just his claws?
Kairo stepped forward slowly, a small smile forming on his lips as he began to take the fight seriously.
Zipporah moved as well, her focus sharpening, watching him more closely now.
Their pace increased. Then they were running again.
Orange flames flickered around Kairo's claws, dancing with each movement. A thin line of white fire traced the edge of Zipporah's blade, extending its reach.
They clashed again. This time, neither moved.
Blade and claws locked, sparks scattering between them as they held their ground, staring into each other's eyes.
Then the exchange began.
Steel met claws again and again, the sharp rhythm echoing through the field. The air grew hotter with each strike, but Ivy remained seated, unaffected.
Kairo's attacks became faster, heavier. Zipporah shifted into defense.
He took advantage of it. A kick drove into her stomach, sending her sliding back. She landed on her feet, steady.
"Kairo!" she called out. "You seem to forget.. this is a match of fire, not strength."
Her words stopped him. He looked down at his hands, at the claws he had formed.
Then toward Ivy. She was halfway through her popcorn, watching closely. She gave a small nod.
Kairo exhaled and let the claws fade. He took a firm stance.
"Sorry about that," he said. "Let's fight properly."
Flames burst from his body, orange light wrapping around him.
Zipporah smiled. She raised her sword, holding it close to her face as white flames danced along its edge.
She moved first.
Her blade sliced through the air, sending a thin arc of white fire racing toward him, burning the grass in its path.
Kairo dodged to the side and closed the distance, forming multiple fireballs in his hands before sending them toward her.
Zipporah cut through them with ease, splitting some apart while slipping past the rest. The ones that struck the ground left deep, burning marks behind them.
They drew closer.
The grass beneath them turned yellow. The air grew heavy with heat.
Ivy raised a hand, forming an invisible barrier around herself as the temperature climbed.
Orange and white flames clashed again and again, mixing, pushing against one another.
The two fighters moved as if the world around them no longer mattered.
Kairo pressed with speed.
Zipporah answered with precision.
He dodged once, twice -
But each time became harder than the last.
She adjusted. Closed the gaps. Forced him into response.
He had no choice but to counter. But his flames.. They didn't hold.
The white fire dissolved them on contact.
For the first time, he slowed. Then he looked at her.
The fox mask.
The blade.
The movement.
His gaze dropped to the pattern along her sword. A slow smile formed.
He stepped back, creating distance. This time, he waited.
Zipporah attacked first. A crescent of white flame cut through the air toward him.
He didn't dodge.
Instead, flames gathered in his palm, different, denser, forming into the shape of an arrow.
He released it.
The two forces collided.
A sharp explosion tore through the field, the sound echoing against the walls.
From the clash, a strange fire remained, deep red, almost liquid in form.
The shockwave blasted outward.
Both fighters were thrown back.
Ivy's barrier cracked under the pressure.
The ground split. The walls trembled.
Then - silence.
Smoke and heat lingered in the air, the field left scarred as if something far greater had passed through it.
Zipporah fell on the ground with a loud thud. Her mask cracked and she still held her sword.
Kairo on the other hand was unlucky. He smashed into a tree falling below it. the pain made him wish he didn't pull that move.
No matter what he thought he knew. They would pay for the damages on the fields somehow.
