Chapter 90 - Chapter 89

After finishing her meal, Ain put on her high heels.

Harith held her hand.

"I hope things stay this way," he said, before kissing her on the forehead.

"I'm off now—bye!" Ain said,

opening the door and stepping out.

Harith waved goodbye.

As she left the residential complex, Ain forced herself to walk naturally, sensing that Harith was watching her from above.

Once inside her car, she drove slowly out of the complex.

As soon as she cleared the area, she stepped on the gas and sped toward the cemetery.

A heavy, relentless downpour began.

Ain drove even faster.

Upon arriving at the cemetery, she hurried out.

She paid no mind to the fact that she was getting soaked in the heavy rain.

Ain climbed the steps toward her father's grave.

She walked along the row where her father was laid to rest.

From a distance, she saw that no one was in front of her father's grave. "Has Syaf gone home? That's for the best," she thought to herself.

Suddenly, she felt something above her head—a purple umbrella shielding her from the rain.

She turned around and saw Syaf standing there.

Ain noticed that the rain was beginning to soak the back of Syaf's clothes.

Ain pulled Syaf under the umbrella with her.

"You foolish Syaf! Why are you still here in this weather?" she demanded, her voice sharp with anger.

Syaf smiled, holding up a small broom.

"I just finished cleaning your father's grave.

I knew you'd come here to visit him, rain or shine—so I waited," Syaf explained.

Ain kicked off her high heels, a mischievous smile spreading across her face.

Syaf could tell exactly what she was thinking.

Ain stepped back and began running toward her father's grave, getting soaked in the process.

Syaf closed his umbrella and, also getting drenched, ran toward Ain.

Ain played in the rain in front of her father's grave.

Without realizing what she was doing, she hold of Syaf's hand. "Father, we're heading home now. We'll come back again to talk to you—it's raining right now," Ain said, gazing at her father's grave.

"Come on, let's run and play in the rain!"

Ain called out to Syaf.

Syaf felt a surge of joy when Ain took his hand, even though he knew it wasn't out of romantic love.

Syaf shook his head, Ain looked on, puzzled.

Syaf pulled Ain's hand and hoisted her onto his back.

"The 'motorcycle' is about to take off—one, two, three... Vroom!" Syaf said.

Ain wrapped her arms around Syaf's neck. "Vroom, vroom!" she replied.

Together, they enjoyed the rain
