Chapter 264 - Chapter 264: Ah Du's Self-Created Soul Skill

Chapter 264: Ah Du's Self-Created Soul Skill

In the City of Slaughter, Hell Slaughter Field.

After a full year of bloodshed, Ah Du and Hu Liena each achieved their 50th and 51st victories respectively. Their opponents had gone from Soul Masters and Soul Kings to Soul Emperors and even higher-tiered challengers.

Their strong performance led to them being referred to as the King of Hell and Hell's Messengers by the Fallen in the City of Slaughter. However, despite their formidable reputation, they were still not the top-ranked.

The Plague Source, Tang San, had already achieved his 63rd victory. His poison-laced hidden weapons and his all-encompassing "Qian Kun Butt" made the Fallen tremble in fear at his name.

Over the course of this year, Tang San had also learned of Ah Du and Hu Liena's existence, and like them, he had avoided direct confrontation.

Although Tang San had a grudge with the Spirit Hall, in the City of Slaughter, his primary concern was to preserve his own life. As for settling scores, that would come later, once he had made his way out of the Hell Road. Besides, there was no guarantee that Ah Du and Hu Liena would even reach 100 victories.

Today happened to be Ah Du's 51st match. Hu Liena arrived early at the stands to watch, and around her, the Fallen automatically cleared a space, as over the past year, she had built up quite a reputation.

"Here comes the Hell Messenger, quickly move aside. This woman is not easy to deal with."

"How did she get here?"

"Obviously, if it's a King of Hell match, the Hell Messenger is always there. The same goes for the other way around. If you encounter the King of Hell or the Hell Messenger, just stay away."

"I see, thanks."

Hu Liena paid no attention to the gossip around her. Instead, her eyes were fixed on Ah Du as he ascended the arena.

After a year of trials in the City of Slaughter, Ah Du had lost all his youthful naivety. What replaced it was a pair of eyes filled with killing intent and a determined face.

His dark eyes were like black holes, capable of instantly overwhelming those with weak wills.

In this match, his opponents included four Soul Emperor-level Fallen. After they quickly worked together to eliminate the remaining five opponents, they closed in on Ah Du from all sides, clearly having planned this move beforehand to deal with the King of Hell first before considering other matters. If they faced him one-on-one, they would certainly perish.

Even against four Soul Emperors, Ah Du showed no fear. The dark golden scythe in his hand was poised, ready for action.

Seeing the four opponents charge toward him, Ah Du slightly bent his knees, assuming a defensive stance. The scythe was held behind him, his gaze icy as he surveyed the four.

"King of Hell's Flash, the World Moves!"

In an instant, dark light flickered, and before the four opponents, Ah Du's figure had vanished. Two of them were startled and hurriedly turned to look behind them.

"There! Attack with everything!"

But only their left companion responded, as the other two Soul Emperors were already lying on the ground, lifeless, with a red streak of blood running across their necks.

"Damn it, don't hold back, or we'll definitely die!"

The other one nodded nervously, clearly noticing the rapid loss of two allies in an instant.

As they prepared to charge Ah Du with everything, the figure disappeared once again. They heard a devil's whisper in their ears.

"King of Hell's Flash, the Devil's Shock!"

Another flash of dark shadow passed, and the two felt a chill that permeated to their bones. They couldn't even speak as they fell to the ground, clutching their necks, dying in silence.

"King of Hell!"

"King of Hell!"

"King of Hell!"

Ah Du's consecutive victories had earned him immense popularity in the City of Slaughter, with everyone cheering for him with all their might.

Hu Liena smiled slightly, slowly walking out to meet Ah Du as he exited the slaughter field.

"Your self-created soul skill is becoming more refined, and its power is impressive."

"Yes, actually, you could try creating a soul skill suited to you as well. In life-or-death battles, it's easy to gain new insights."

Upon hearing this, Hu Liena's smile instantly vanished, replaced by helplessness.

"Sigh, do you think I don't want to? But I'm a Spirit Master with a mental-type martial soul. To create a suitable soul skill, I need to modify my existing skills, but in the City of Slaughter, it's almost like being bound hand and foot."

"Well, then there's nothing to be done. You should keep developing the Spiral Sphere your second young master taught you!"

"I've been developing it without you telling me. I'm planning to use my fox tail to perform the Spiral Sphere. It might catch my opponents off guard."

Looking at Hu Liena caressing her tail, Ah Du's eyes brightened slightly.

"Not bad. Your external soul bone, which can both lengthen and split, can indeed make the Spiral Sphere a lot more dynamic. The power should be considerable too."

A small smile flashed across the little fox's face, and she arrogantly raised her chin before becoming serious again.

"Why are you bringing this up? By the way, have you noticed that after those people die in the Slaughter Arena, we haven't absorbed much of their soul power?"

Ah Du nodded, indicating that this was indeed the case.

"I've noticed it too. Most of the soul power seems to have flowed to the arena or possibly been absorbed by the Hell Sand Slaughter Field."

"Exactly. Doesn't this mean there's something strange going on in the Slaughter Arena? Or is the so-called Hell Road beneath the arena, waiting for us after achieving 100 victories?"

"What you're saying is very likely."

Ah Du pondered for a moment before agreeing with the little fox's theory.

A trace of worry appeared on Hu Liena's delicate face as she spoke.

"If that's the case, then the Hell Road may not be simple. Just thinking about the soul power absorbed from so many Fallen makes it terrifying."

"Don't think too much. Even if the Hell Road is scary, we have to go through it to leave, right?"

"Thinking too much won't help. It will only scare ourselves."

The serious expression on the little fox's face instantly disappeared as she smiled self-mockingly.

"You're right. We haven't even achieved 100 victories yet. Thinking too much is pointless."

Back in their residence, the two entered the same room and took out a pill from their soul guides.

Swallowing the Soul Nourishing Pill, the intense killing intent in their hearts was instantly suppressed and slowly dissipated.

"This killing intent is having an increasingly greater impact on us. It used to be that we only needed a Soul Nourishing Pill after around 20 matches, but now after just about 10 matches, the killing intent is almost overwhelming."

Hu Liena's eyes were full of caution. It was clear that if they stayed in the City of Slaughter for too long, they would eventually be consumed by the killing intent, turning into nothing but killing machines.

Ah Du nodded in agreement. His martial soul was more attuned to darkness, so the killing intent affected him more than Hu Liena.

"You're right. We need to speed up and get our 100 victories. Once we've walked the Hell Road, we can leave. Otherwise, it will be dangerous."

After absorbing the remaining medicinal effects, the two began meditating. Once they were finished, Ah Du stood up and walked toward his room.

"Get some rest. We have a match tomorrow."

"Mm, you too."

In the corner not far from their room, Tang San, with a flickering gaze, watched Ah Du walk out, his heart full of shock.

"That guy completely suppressed his killing intent. How did they manage that?"
