Chapter 377: Dugu Yan Beats Yu Tianheng Mercilessly
"First Soul Skill, Thunder Dragon Claw!"
On the ice arena, seeing that Dugu Yan had already reached the Soul King level, Yu Tianheng couldn't help but feel a great sense of danger rising within him.
After Shui Bing'er announced that the duel had officially begun, Yu Tianheng let out a loud roar, then immediately charged toward Du Gong Yan. After activating his first soul skill, he instantly unleashed his massive dragon claw that had transformed during the dragonization.
At that moment, as Yu Tianheng rushed forward, his first soul ring lit up, and with a violent surge of soul power, thunder rumbled wildly along his dragonized right arm, crackling loudly.
However, seeing Yu Tianheng charging at her, Du Gong Yan, recalling Lin Yu's instructions before the duel, managed to calm herself down and quietly steeled her resolve.
She had already learned so many things from Lin Yu that others could only dream of.
Moreover, her spirit had evolved, and her cultivation had surpassed Yu Tianheng's by a whole major rank. If she couldn't win, it would be too embarrassing!
Movement Skill: Plum Blossom Dash!
Thus, facing Yu Tianheng's attack, Dugu Yan immediately activated the movement skill "Plum Blossom Dash" from the Xuanwu True Technique. In an instant, her body blurred, leaving behind several afterimages as she moved sideways, narrowly avoiding Yu Tianheng's attack.
Yu Tianheng, after charging to the spot where Dugu Yan had been, roared angrily and thrust his thunder-filled dragon claw forward. Several bolts of lightning shot out immediately, striking the ice arena and creating several large craters in the process.
However, Dugu Yan had already dodged.
After evading Yu Tianheng's attack, Dugu Yan immediately counterattacked.
"First Soul Skill, Green Phosphorus Red Poison!"
"Second Soul Skill, Green Phosphorus Blue Poison!"
With two sharp cries from Du Gong Yan, her first and second soul rings immediately lit up.
Then, two poison mists, one red and one blue, materialized out of thin air and were swiftly absorbed into Du Gong Yan's body, greatly boosting her momentum.
Although she was also a control-type soul master, Du Gong Yan's development as a female soul master was quite different from Du Gong Bo's.
For example, Du Gong Bo's soul skills were mostly offensive.
But Du Gong Yan's first two soul skills leaned more toward auxiliary-type skills.
The first soul skill, Green Phosphorus Red Poison, could also be called Excitement Poison, and it worked by stimulating the nervous system, increasing attack and speed by 20%!
However, as with all poisons, the Green Phosphorus Red Poison also had its drawbacks. Though it could temporarily boost attack and speed, it would cause bodily harm, requiring rest and recovery after the fight to avoid lasting damage.
But if Ye Lingling were present, there would be no issue.
As for Du Gong Yan's second soul skill, Green Phosphorus Blue Poison, also called Paralysis Poison, it worked by eliminating pain and increasing defense by 30%.
Yet, this also caused bodily damage, and without Ye Lingling's help, the defensive enhancement could be outweighed by the harm it caused to the body.
Originally, these two soul skills had been specifically chosen by Dugu Yan in coordination with her best friend, Ye Lingling.
However, after Lin Yu taught Dugu Yan a martial technique called Dragon God Skill, these two soul skills also became part of Du Gong Yan's auxiliary skills to enhance herself, with no side effects even without Ye Lingling's cooperation.
This Dragon God Skill came from a martial arts drama Lin Yu had seen in his past life, called "Water Moon Cave Sky," which was also considered high-level martial arts.
The effect of the Dragon God Skill was to detoxify, heal injuries, steal items, and protect the body. Once cultivated to a high level, it could also transform into a divine dragon capable of controlling wind and thunder.
Of course, in the Douluo Continent, the Dragon God Skill had been modified, so while it still possessed detoxifying, healing, item-stealing, and body-protecting abilities, it no longer allowed one to directly transform into a divine dragon.
Instead, the Dragon God Skill could gradually turn a spirit that could transform into a dragon into an actual dragon, while also greatly enhancing the soul master's physique. Eventually, it would allow the soul master to transform into a dragon when activating their spirit body!
So, after absorbing the Green Phosphorus Red Poison and Green Phosphorus Blue Poison, Dugu Yan immediately began to operate the Dragon God Skill.
In an instant, as the Dragon God Skill activated, Du Gong Yan's body rose even higher, her slender frame began to swell with muscles, making her look even more powerful. At the same time, more green scales appeared on her skin.
With the Dragon God Skill in full operation, Du Gong Yan's eyes also changed from bright yellow snake-like vertical pupils to dark golden dragon-like vertical pupils.
A far stronger aura erupted from her body, accompanied by a dragon's power that was no less intense than the one emitted when Yu Tianheng activated his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon spirit.
Whoosh!
With the increase in her physical strength, Du Gong Yan's confidence surged, and she immediately activated Plum Blossom Dash again, charging toward Yu Tianheng.
"Fourth Soul Skill, Green Phosphorus Brown Poison!"
"Fifth Soul Skill, Green Phosphorus Black Poison!"
As she charged toward Yu Tianheng, Dugu Yan activated her fourth and fifth soul skills, immediately releasing a storm of gray-brown and black poison mist that surged toward Yu Tianheng.
Yu Tianheng, unable to escape from Du Gong Yan's wide-area attack, was completely engulfed in the poison mist.
Du Gong Yan's Green Phosphorus Brown Poison, also known as Woodification Poison, caused the muscles and bones of those affected to turn woody, severely interfering with a soul master's ability to fight.
The Green Phosphorus Black Poison, also known as Weakness Poison, would severely reduce the physical condition of the person poisoned, making them feel as though they had been hit with a weakness-type soul skill.
These powerful soul skills had been found by Dugu Yan thanks to Lin Yu's enhancement using an external soul bone, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion's vertical eye, which greatly improved Du Gong Yan's luck.
Thus, as Yu Tianheng was enveloped by the Green Phosphorus Brown and Black Poisons, he soon began to feel his body stiffening, and a strong sense of weakness surged through him.
He could only stand there, both shocked and angry, with no way to counter it.
In order to prevent his physical condition from deteriorating further, Yu Tianheng had no choice but to activate his third soul skill, Thunder Fury.
This soul skill could temporarily put a Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon soul master into a berserk state, increasing their attack power by 100% and soul power by 50%.
However, such a powerful effect also came with a huge drawback: the soul skill would continue until the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon soul master ran out of stamina unless they actively stopped it!
But now, Yu Tianheng had no choice but to activate it.
Unfortunately, even with Thunder Fury activated, it wasn't enough to counter the ongoing effects of the Green Phosphorus Black Poison, which continued to weaken Yu Tianheng's physical condition.
After all, Du Gong Yan's Green Phosphorus Black Poison was her fifth soul skill, while Yu Tianheng's Thunder Fury was only his third.
"Damn!"
Realizing that Thunder Fury could not change his current situation, Yu Tianheng's face darkened as he stood surrounded by the poison mist that had now filled the entire arena.
Mountain Sea Fist Sutra!
At that moment, Dugu Yan charged toward him, using Plum Blossom Dash to rapidly close the distance, then cried out in her heart as she unleashed the Mountain Sea Fist Sutra, a powerful punch aimed directly at Yu Tianheng.
"Second Soul Skill, Thunderclap!"
Facing Du Gong Yan's punch, Yu Tianheng gritted his teeth and immediately activated his second soul skill, clenching his right fist and throwing a punch. In the flash of lightning, countless bolts of thunder shot out.
Unfortunately, facing Yu Tianheng's second soul skill, Thunderclap, Du Gong Yan, with her fist wrapped in heavy true energy and fierce fist force, refused to back down and met his attack head-on.
Using the momentum from the Mountain Sea Fist Sutra and the protective power of the Dragon God Skill, Du Gong Yan's punch shattered the thunderbolts unleashed by Thunderclap, striking Yu Tianheng directly.
Under the force of Du Gong Yan's punch, Yu Tianheng felt an overwhelming violent power hitting him, causing his face to change dramatically. He coughed up a mouthful of blood and was instantly sent flying backward.
How could this be! How could Dugu Yan have such immense strength!
As he flew backward in agony, Yu Tianheng could only scream furiously in his heart.
However, he still didn't understand that while the Green Phosphorus Snake spirit could not compare to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon in terms of raw power, once it evolved into the Green Phosphorus Snake King and further evolved into the Green Phosphorus Flood Dragon through the Dragon God Skill, the gap between them had greatly narrowed.
Now, Dugu Yan not only had the Green Phosphorus Red Poison's enhancement, but also the five levels of Dragon God Skill and a much stronger soul power, alongside the Mountain Sea Fist Sutra of the top ten martial arts.
But Yu Tianheng, now poisoned by the Green Phosphorus Brown and Black Poisons, had his strength reduced by nearly half, even under Thunder Fury.
If it weren't for Thunder Fury, the effects of the Green Phosphorus Black Poison would have reduced his state by 70%!
The Green Phosphorus Flood Dragon spirit's quality was higher than that of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, and with Du Gong Yan's Green Phosphorus Black Poison being a fifth-level soul skill, the crushing superiority was something Yu Tianheng couldn't withstand.
After sending Yu Tianheng flying with the Mountain Sea Fist Sutra, Dugu Yan didn't stop there. Following Lin Yu's orders, she pursued him and began to mercilessly beat him.
After Yu Tianheng had been poisoned by the Green Phosphorus Brown and Black Poisons, Dugu Yan stopped using the two poison soul skills and withdrew the poison.
As the poison mist filled with Green Phosphorus Brown and Black Poison dissipated on the ice arena, those watching could see that the once handsome and dashing Yu Tianheng was now being ruthlessly beaten by Du Gong Yan, with his clothes torn, face bruised, and skin discolored from the poison, turning an eerie brown-black.
Yet, despite looking utterly battered, the defensive boost from the Woodification Poison had kept Yu Tianheng from passing out, and he remained conscious.
However, this only deepened Yu Tianheng's humiliation. In front of the entire young generation of Tiandou Imperial City, he was being thoroughly defeated.
This was an unbearable shame!
Recalling the bet from the duel, Yu Tianheng wished he could faint and escape this dreadful situation.
