Chapter 183 - Chapter 183 Scoring twice

Inside the ruins of San Bastiano, on the outskirts of Oristano, western Sardinia.

"Whinny!"

Accompanied by an earth-shattering wail, a massive, sun-like flame erupted from the depths of the ruins, but this rising sun was quickly enveloped by an even more violent tornado. Then, a golden sword light streaked across the void, splitting the white steed within the sun in two.

After the flames dissipated, the golden sword also vanished into points of light. Only the massive tornado slowly shrank, transforming into the appearance of a handsome young man.

"Finally complete."

He clenched his fists, then looked at the ruins behind him and said with emotion:

"I never expected that while I was searching for my incarnation, a new Demon King would appear on Earth and defeat my prey, Melqart. How interesting."

"But since Melqart has fallen, what about my wish?"

"Heh heh, since he's a stronger warrior than Melqart, why don't I just go find him directly…"

As he spoke, the young man's figure had already transformed into a tornado and disappeared from the spot, leaving only his murmured self-talk.

Veleslana transformed into a gentle breeze, swiftly soaring through the sky. His "gaze" swept across the land of Sardinia, finally locking onto a small uninhabited island in the nearby azure ocean.

"Oh? He's actively emitting his aura?"

Perceiving the aura that was wantonly releasing its presence on the uninhabited island, Veleslana's lips curved into an excited smile:

"It seems you are also a warrior who yearns for battle. That's truly excellent!"

His figure headed straight for the uninhabited island. In just a few minutes, Veleslana had traversed hundreds of kilometers, landing on the island's sandy beach.

After transforming back into human form, he followed the aura, took two steps forward, and then saw a line of text carved into a nearby tree:

"Dogs and Mitra not allowed."

The best way to enrage a warrior is not to insult him personally, but to insult those he considers most important in his life, those he should protect. After spending a long time in the Greek World, Ares was well-versed in this method.

As Veleslana, a guardian subordinate god of the Sun GodMitra, he had naturally sworn allegiance to this great Sun God. When he saw his master placed alongside dogs and treated by the same standard by Ares, he naturally couldn't help but feel enraged.

"Carving such a thing here, do you intend to deliberately provoke me?"

Although Veleslana understood Ares's intention, sometimes, these things cannot be ignored even if the cause and effect are clear. It's more likely that one will become angrier the more one thinks about it, despite initial restraint.

So, upon seeing this tree, even though he knew there was a trick, Veleslana still raised his hand, conjuring a storm that destroyed that patch of forest, including the tree.

However, just as the trees rustled and fell in the gale, Veleslana suddenly heard a very rhythmic "drip, drip, drip" sound in the wind.

"What is that?"

He was surprised, his gaze moving through the storm, and he quickly found several spots emitting red dots. But before he could examine them closely, explosions instantly occurred at those red-dotted locations.

The explosions did not release fire, but a dim and dense black mist. Within this black mist, the surrounding trees quickly withered and turned to ash, as if their life force had been instantly drained. Insects and snakes clinging to the trees also fell to the ground, silently turning into piles of corpses.

"The authority of the Underworld?"

Veleslana slightly covered his mouth and nose, raising an eyebrow.

Generally, this kind of Underworld authority is held by Earth Mother Gods represented by dragons and snakes. Conqueror Gods like Veleslana are natural enemies of Earth Mother Gods, but he is also a guardian of Mitra, deeply connected to the sun, and possesses a certain degree of sun authority. Underworld authority is quite restrictive to his sun power.

After weighing it, Veleslana used a portion of his authority to carefully protect himself. He knew in his heart that the battle with that cunning warrior had already begun, and if he wasn't careful, he might fall into his trap.

So he covered his mouth and nose and continued forward, walking towards the direction from which the aura emanated. He walked out of the black mist, and the Underworld's Death mist slowly dissipated behind him. However, after only a few steps, Veleslana saw another line of text on a nearby stone:

"My son Perseus has the demeanor of a bootlicker."

Perseus is the predecessor of the Sun GodMitra; the two can also be seen as one entity. Basically, in Veleslana's view, insulting Perseus is insulting his chief god, Mitra.

"How dare you!"

Seeing such an outrageous statement, Veleslana finally couldn't control his temper and summoned a bolt of lightning, shattering the rock into powder.

The moment the rock exploded, a flash of fire suddenly flickered in the nearby dense forest, accompanied by a loud "bang." A sniper rifle bullet, its surface covered with runes, whistled towards Veleslana's forehead.

"Petty tricks!"

Veleslana drew his golden sword with a backhand, striking at an inconceivable angle, and in an instant, he split a bullet fired from a sniper rifle in two.

However, his opponent had clearly anticipated this move. The runes inscribed on the sniper rifle bullet were not for enhancing bullet speed and penetration, but for connecting to another mysterious space.

The moment Veleslana split the bullet, this rune was destroyed, and the things confined in another dimension immediately returned to the present world. A large amount of black liquid flowed out from the bullet, drenching the Persian God of War in a torrent.

"Water from the River Styx?" Feeling the white smoke rising from his skin and the stinging pain, Veleslana twitched his lips, wanting to curse, but he finally suppressed his impulse and used his authority to dispel these things.

This secondary derivative of Underworld authority naturally could not threaten a God of Disobedience of Veleslana's caliber. However, pouring water from the deepest depths of the Underworld onto the head of a Sun God was tantamount to urinating on his head.

Veleslana's anger intensified, and the smile on his child-like face unconsciously disappeared. He continued forward with a grim expression, and after a few steps, he saw the magnificent sight ahead.

Rows of thick armor plates were stacked together, forming a steel barrier. These armor plates were inscribed with runes that enhanced defense and were filled with magical power. Given their strength, it was estimated that only the authorities of Gods of Disobedience or God Slayers could break through them.

However, this was not the reason for the Persian God of War's astonishment. What truly captivated Veleslana's attention was the small line of text left on the armor plate:

"A father is a father, a son is a son, and Mitra will always be a grandson."

"That shameless bastard!" Veleslana trembled with rage, cursing loudly.
