Chapter 145: Ikaros's Temporary Arrangement

With a faint smile, Franklin gently took Ikaros's right hand and slowly guided her down through the air.

"A new life, a new experience. It's okay if you don't understand yet — just keep it in mind for now. You'll come to understand one day."

When they landed back in the backyard, the shattered floor-to-ceiling window had already been repaired by Lala using one of her special gadgets.

Entering the living room hand in hand, Franklin saw all the girls waiting for him.

"The first meeting earlier wasn't very pleasant," he said with a light chuckle. "Let me reintroduce her properly. This is Ikaros — a multipurpose entertainment angel who has temporarily lost all her past memories."

After hearing Franklin's earlier explanation, Bulma and Momo exchanged complicated looks as they finally took a good look at the girl before them.

She had uneven pink hair tied into two long braids wrapped with red ribbons, silver-white clothing decorated with black patterns, and an extremely revealing modified corset that exposed nearly sixty percent of her chest, gleaming faintly in the light. A short pleated skirt and pale blue thigh-high socks completed the outfit, along with bits of armor on her shoulders, arms, and legs.

"'Multipurpose entertainment angel,' huh… that Synapse ruler must've been a real pervert," Bulma muttered. "What is this outfit — some kind of battlefield cosplay fetish?"

Franklin fell silent. He had to admit… he kind of liked that outfit too. Clearing his throat to suppress the thought, he quickly moved on.

"Anyway, don't overthink it. From now on, Ikaros will be living here. She needs to relearn everything — daily habits, social interaction, right from scratch. If she does something wrong, correct her.

Mikan, you can start by teaching her housework. With her processing ability, she should be able to handle chores easily — unlike me, who just makes a mess of things.

Lala, Bulma — try to restrain your curiosity. Observation is fine, but Lala, I remember you have a pair of x-ray glasses, right? You can use those, but only for observation. No invasive research, no experiments. Remember — nothing that might hurt her. If she perceives your actions as an attack and reacts, you might not even have time to scream for help. Ikaros's base combat power is forty thousand."

Then he turned to Momo. "And Momo — don't go teaching her any lewd stuff. She's very pure right now. She needs to be guided slowly."

"Mr. Franklin, that's so unfair!" Momo puffed her cheeks. "Do I really seem like the type who only knows how to be pervy?"

Franklin scratched his head with a grin.

"Not exactly. You're smart — just a bit below Lala in intelligence, but way sharper than Nana. You handle things perfectly. But… you can be a little mischievous, and Ikaros is really innocent. I just feel like if you two spend too much time together, you might not be able to resist… influencing her. So, consider this a friendly warning."

That only made Momo pout harder — though when she glanced at Ikaros's blank yet delicate face, she really did feel an urge to "corrupt" her just a little.

"Ahem. Mr. Franklin, that's just your bias. I'm a very kind and considerate person. I'll get along with Miss Ikaros just fine — nothing like what you said will happen."

"Well, if you say so, then I'll trust you."

Seeing the sincerity in his eyes, Momo's face flushed red and she quickly turned away.

Franklin smiled faintly — that reaction was proof enough she wouldn't cross any lines. Turning to Ikaros, still looking utterly lost, he said,

"For now, just stay here at home and get used to living with others. After some time, I'll arrange for you to attend school. That way you can learn faster and adapt to normal human life.

As for that chain — you can hide it for now. And your wings, do whatever's comfortable. If they get in the way, you can retract them."

Mikan's expression turned slightly odd, but she said nothing. Instead, she stood up and approached Ikaros with a warm smile.

"My name's Mikan. I'm his little sister. You can just call me Mikan, Ikaros."

"Master's… sister," Ikaros repeated softly. "Mikan… may I stay by your side and help with housework?"

Mikan blinked, momentarily stunned by the emptiness and sincerity in her eyes.

"Uh—yes, of course. There's always something to help with."

After a pause, she turned toward Lala. "Lala, do you have any spare clothes? Something normal? You two look about the same size — maybe let Ikaros change for now."

Lala frowned in thought. "Hmm… I think I only have my school uniform. I usually just rely on Peke to change my outfit."

Mikan sighed softly. "Well, looks like we've already got our afternoon planned. It's noon anyway, so I'll start lunch. After that, we can all go shopping together. Momo and Nana just got here and don't have clothes ready either. Lala and Bulma should pick up some spares too, and especially Ikaros. We're also short on household supplies, so it's going to be a busy afternoon.

Ikaros, would you like to help me prepare lunch? That way, we'll be done faster."

Ikaros nodded slightly and followed behind Mikan. Her quiet, hesitant steps made Mikan glance back at Franklin for reassurance. He smiled calmly, and that was enough to settle her nerves.

"Oh, and Mikan," Franklin added, "even though Ikaros lost her memory, her body still retains some muscle memory. She used to be a combat-type angel — she just thinks she's for entertainment now. She's not familiar with daily tasks, so be very clear when explaining. Otherwise, she might, uh… blow up the kitchen by accident."

Mikan rubbed her forehead, exasperated. "You should've mentioned that first, don't you think?"

"Sorry. I meant to, but it slipped my mind."

"Unbelievable," she sighed. "Fine. I'll make sure to explain everything in detail."

Flopping onto the sofa, Franklin summoned two porcelain bottles from the Dimensional Tome.

"Alright, Momo — go call Nana. I've got something good to share. This is also meant to be a gift for Queen Sephie, but I figured you all could take a look first and tell me if it's appropriate. I don't want to give something that feels too plain as a token gift."

Bulma hadn't paid much attention at first — until she read the label on the bottle. Her eyes lit up instantly.

"Youth Retaining Pill!!!"
