Chapter 101 - Chapter 98 Healing

They didn't give Wendy time to think it over.

Brian raised his hand and waved it, and dozens of fallen members of the Demon Cat were immediately bound by vine-like dark chains and hung upside down in mid-air. Dark purple patterns appeared on their necks and quickly spread to their entire bodies.

Seeing her companions convulsing in pain, Wendy's amber eyes welled with tears, and she let out a suppressed sob, "No... please don't hurt anyone anymore! I promise you..."

"That's right, that's what a good child is like."

Brian held a skull-adorned staff and summoned a cloud of black mist that landed at his feet. When the mist dissipated, a person was seen lying on the ground, pale-faced and breathing weakly, clearly on the verge of death.

Brian pointed to the person at his feet and said to Wendy, "I'll leave once you've healed him."

"But if it can't be cured, I'll make you watch with your own eyes how their skin is completely peeled off, that old man behind you and that white cat."

Faced with Brian's threats and inducements, Wendy was terrified, but in order to protect everyone who had always taken care of her, she mustered up her courage and approached the "injured person".

Seeing that familiar dark blue short hair and the unique mark on his right cheek, Wendy exclaimed in surprise, "Brother Gerald! How could this happen!"

"You actually know my student?!" Brian's face showed a hint of surprise, but he quickly concealed it.

Wendy nodded innocently and recounted how Gerald had taken care of her six years ago.

Six years ago? Wasn't Gerald still in the Tower of Paradise...?

Brian immediately concluded that Wendy had mistaken him for someone else, because the time Wendy mentioned was precisely the period when he was teaching Gerald magic, and Gerald at that time would not have been able to escape from his watch.

"So you're Gerald's sister? Well, I've messed things up and hit my own family." Brian wasn't about to clarify the relationship; he was a master of deception, especially lies to children.

Brian's greatest achievement in deception was deceiving a mother and daughter. He felt a secret satisfaction at the thought that their miserable lives were all caused by his lies.

At this moment, Wendy couldn't tell whether Brian was being sincere or not; she was focused on treating her "brother," whom she hadn't seen for years.

Emerald-green healing light bloomed in Wendy's palm, and pure healing magic flowed along Jellal's pale skin. The blue-haired youth's shattered chest cavity visibly healed rapidly, and his weak heart even began to beat again.

Eligoll, who was honestly following Brian's lead, was stunned by this scene.

It's incredible that there really is magic in this world that can pull a person back from the brink of death!

And all of this was accomplished by a little girl who was only about 11 years old!

Eligoll finally understood why the entire Oración Seis had come to this unremarkable "Cat's Lodge," and why their leader, Brian, valued this Sky Witch so highly.

The healing light grew brighter and brighter, and Gerald's injuries healed at an incredible speed, but Wendy was still young, and her magic was not enough to fully restore Gerald.

However, Wendy can still heal those fatal wounds.

As the little girl's magic ran out, she staggered and fell, and Gerald, who should have been condemned to eternal damnation along with his sins, awoke.

Hearing the intermittent crying, Gerald opened his eyes and saw a crying blue-haired little girl, but in Gerald's eyes was the figure of a red-haired girl.

Erza... no...

Gerald regained his senses and incredulously reached for the bones that had been shattered by the rocks in the sea. "I...I'm not dead?!"

"Of course you're still alive. I had Kobra pull you out of the sea."

Brian's emotionless voice convinced Gerald that he was still alive, and he knew very well that there was a message Brian longed to hear in his mind.

Before receiving that news, he would do everything he could to save himself.

Gerald sat up, looked at Wendy who was crying and excited at the same time, and asked suspiciously, "Who is this child? Could he be your secret weapon, Teacher?"

"Then you're wronging me. Wendy is your'sister'."

"Sister? Teacher, you must be joking. I don't know her at all."

Gerald frowned, ignoring the little girl's astonished gaze, and shakily propped himself up, looking around at his surroundings.

Seeing Gerald's weakened state, Brian was very satisfied. It seemed that the pawn that had escaped his control due to its strength could now be held in his hands again.

"Geralt, you know why I went through all this trouble to save you, right? Give me the coordinates of [Nirvana].

Brian didn't waste any words and went straight to his point. Gerald's life had been saved, and even if he didn't want to talk now, Brian had at least ten ways to get him to talk.

Gerald nodded. "Teacher, you really found a good place to save me. The sealing location of [Nirvana] is not too far from this 'Cat's Abode'."

Brian was overjoyed, not expecting such an unexpected gain, and immediately took Geral away.

Outside the village, five figures stood. They were the other five members of the "Six Demons," but each of them had made excuses not to enter the village.

Brian knew what these five "tools" from the Tower of Paradise were thinking, but he didn't care, because he had already dragged them into the darkness.

Wendy breathed a sigh of relief after Brian and his group disappeared into the woods. She didn't understand why her "brother" treated her like a stranger, but her immediate priority was to treat her injured companions.

However, a large scythe suddenly spun and stuck in front of Wendy, its sharp blade only centimeters from the girl's face.

"There's no need to save you. You'll die soon along with these useless people."

Looking at the pale-faced little girl, Eligoll felt great. He was about to personally kill a magical genius who had not yet grown up. He was incredibly excited!

He's an expert at bullying the weak!

Wendy looked flustered. As a healing mage, she only knew one attack spell, but after exhausting her magic power while saving people, she had no ability to fight back.

"Wait, that person said he would leave once he cured Gerald."

The little girl's innocence made Eric Gor burst into laughter. "Hahahaha, Lord Brian did indeed leave as promised, but that doesn't include me."

The arrogant Erigor, and the weak and helpless Wendy.

The last person on the field, Robin Lu, the guild leader of the Demon Cat's Abode, stood uneasy, hesitating whether to make a move.

He didn't have much strength left, enough to support him for one more attack, and those people were after [Nirvana]...

"Damn it! Stop right now!"

Seeing the large scythe raised high, the old man, heartbroken for the little girl, decided to use his last strength for her.

When Erigor saw the gaunt and thin Chairman Robin interrupting him, he sneered, "Old man, you think you can just stop whenever you want? Do you think you're Makarov?"

"I don't know if this Chairman Robin Lu can compare to our old man, but you probably can't."

The mocking voice blew by like a breeze, and Eligoel felt a chill run down his spine.
