Lord Linde looked at Brum and asked, "You've also read Maester Bass's book, and you believe that true dragons were created from Longwing Dragons through blood magic?"
"No, Maester Bass's theory is completely wrong. Longwing Dragons absolutely cannot be transformed by blood magic," Brum shook his head with certainty, saying, "I had the Blood Witch compare the blood of Longwing Dragons and Glutton two years ago. They are fundamentally two different species. Whether through natural evolution or magical transformation, it's impossible to transform a Longwing Dragon into Glutton."
Lord Linde frowned and said, "If that's the case, why would you think I want to transform Longwing Dragons into true dragons?"
"I think I know what President Brum means," Moroa, whose attire was increasingly resembling that of a mage, looked thoughtfully at Brum and Ragaz, the head of Tranquil Court, and said, "Have you made any progress in your research on the rune arrays on the sacrifice stone tablet?"
"Indeed, we've made a little progress," Ragaz, the head of Tranquil Court, smiled and nodded, speaking in the common tongue with his still-thick accent, "Through the blood extracted from Glutton and Glory, combined with the rune arrays on the sacrifice stone tablet, we conducted blood fusion experiments on different animals and discovered that Longwing Dragon Eggs are a perfect medium. They can easily accommodate the magic-infused blood from Glutton and Glory."
Lord Linde looked at everyone and asked, "Have there been any results already? Why haven't I seen any relevant reports?"
"Because the experiment was both a success and a failure." Maroxin, also a primary participant and the recorder of the experiment, was extremely familiar with its details. So, when Lord Linde raised his question, he stepped forward and meticulously reported the experimental process.
"The Longwing Dragons that eventually hatched from the Longwing Dragon Eggs were deformed?" Lord Linde asked after hearing this, "Are those deformed Longwing Dragons still alive?"
Everyone shook their heads and said, "They are already dead, but before they died, they showed signs of magic, such as breathing fire and concealment."
Lord Linde asked with considerable concern, "Have you found the reason for the failure yet?"
"No." The three individuals leading the experiment shook their heads in unison.
Moroa quickly picked up on something and said, "Could it be related to the black stone? Your experiments used a large amount of black stone from Asshai. As far as I know, this black stone might be meteoric in origin, containing mysterious power. Many people without magical talent can perform some magic because of the black stone. For example, the main ingredient in the Night Shadow water used by the warlocks of Qarth is this black stone. The sacrifice stone tablet itself possesses mysterious power, and the runes provided by Lord Linde also contain magical power. However, from past tests, these two powers did not conflict; instead, they could integrate well to produce greater effects. But black stone is different. I have tested it in the past, and the mysterious power within black stone can corrode any kind of power. Could it be that the black stone caused some adverse interference in your experiment, leading to the Longwing Dragons hatching deformed?"
The three thought about it thoughtfully, nodding in unison.
Brum said in a deep voice, "Lord Moroa, you are right. We were accustomed to using black stone as a magical catalyst in the past. Now that Lord Prophet has provided more stable runes, black stone is clearly no longer suitable for magical experiments."
Lord Linde looked at them and asked in a deep voice, "Have you been working on your own separate experiments in Black Hollow without communicating with each other?"
Moroa shook his head directly and said, "I have so much on my own hands; where would I find the time to get involved in other people's experiments?"
The others also nodded. Aside from a few collaborative magical experiments, other experiments involved personal secret powers, and they naturally did not want others to participate and discover the mysteries of their own powers.
Lord Linde did not comment on this, nor did he directly intervene to change their habits. He merely emphasized, "The task of improving the Longwing Dragons' cold resistance will be handled by several of you working together. I hope to see results as soon as possible."
"Yes, my Lord." All four were very interested in this transformation experiment and naturally would not refuse Lord Linde's command.
