Chapter 205 - [DEM] 205: More Than One?

The military was well-trained, guarding Muzan with airtight security, leaving no gaps. For an ordinary person, approaching was impossible.

But for Morpheus, it was effortless.

With a snap of his fingers, he cast a hypnosis spell. The vigilant soldiers collapsed, fast asleep.

As for Muzan, already sleeping, he sank into an even deeper slumber.

Even if his head were severed, he wouldn't wake.

After dealing with the guards, Morpheus glided into Muzan's room, standing before him, and began reading his memories.

He uncovered the secret behind Muzan's triumph.

It wasn't transmigration.

Muzan Kibutsuji was still Muzan Kibutsuji, unchanged from beginning to end.

But something had happened years ago.

Muzan had been reborn.

He relived the future's events, witnessing how he was defeated step by step, how the Demon Slayer Corps overcame and destroyed him.

Armed with future knowledge, Muzan's first act was to visit Tanjiro Kamado's home, slaughtering his entire family.

This included his sister, Nezuko Kamado, and Tanjiro himself.

Then, he acquired the Blue Spider Lily, eliminating his final weakness.

As the perfect Demon King, Muzan realized the Demon Slayer Corps was no longer a threat. The only remaining danger was Japan's leadership.

Especially the Taisho Emperor.

If the Emperor learned of a perfect being like Muzan, he would spare no effort to capture him for experiments.

To avoid this grim future, Muzan struck first, ambushing the leadership and turning them into his pawns.

He then seized control of the military, bombarded the Demon Slayer Corps, and eradicated them, venting his long-held grudge.

Following his subordinates' advice, he placed trusted allies in every city and key department, securing absolute control and living worry-free.

After reading Muzan's memories, Morpheus was intrigued by his rebirth.

It had happened suddenly.

Even Muzan himself didn't know how it occurred.

But Morpheus suspected a conspiracy. Muzan couldn't have been reborn without reason.

He recalled Void Shiki's words.

The mastermind in the main world was pushing this Lostbelt to merge with it.

Could Muzan's rebirth be the work of this mastermind?

Morpheus thought it highly likely.

In that case, he'd set things right.

With a wave of his hand, Morpheus dispatched the triumphant, comfortable Demon King, leaving not a single cell.

Even Muzan's soul was torn apart, ground to dust, and obliterated.

With Muzan's death, the demons he created—soldiers and cabinet members—dropped dead.

Japan's leadership perished overnight.

After eliminating Muzan, Morpheus waited half a day, but no one came to challenge him.

It was too quiet.

Had the main world's mastermind not noticed his actions?

If so, Morpheus decided to escalate.

Appearing in the sky, he summoned his Light Dimension and began consuming the Lostbelt.

He wanted to see how long this mysterious mastermind could stay silent.

One hour, two hours…

One day, two days…

In the blink of an eye, three days passed, and the entire Lostbelt was absorbed into his Light Dimension.

With this, Morpheus's power surged dramatically.

His Power of Light broke through to three hundred million.

No small feat—it was nearly a third of his previous strength.

To his surprise, the mastermind never appeared, seemingly allowing Morpheus to consume the Lostbelt unchallenged.

Perplexed, Morpheus located his devotee Erina Nakiri within the Light Dimension and returned to the main world.

He found Void Shiki still at his home.

"Back so soon?" Void Shiki was surprised. "The Lostbelt's resolved?"

Morpheus nodded. "Resolved."

He recounted the Lostbelt's events, emphasizing that he had consumed it entirely, yet the mastermind never showed.

Void Shiki said calmly, "That's normal. After you left, I discovered something."

"What?" Morpheus asked, curious.

"There's more than one Lostbelt merging with the main world. That mastermind prepared thoroughly. Losing one Lostbelt doesn't affect their plan."

Well, that explains it.

No wonder the mastermind didn't appear—they didn't care about a single Lostbelt.

"How many Lostbelts are there?" Morpheus asked.

Void Shiki shook her head, frowning slightly. "I'm not sure, but there are at least three I've sensed."

"If those three aren't dealt with, they'll merge with our world in half a month to a month, bringing disaster."

Morpheus clicked his tongue. This mastermind was getting bolder. He'd thought pushing one Lostbelt was impressive.

But multiple?

He sighed. "Alright, leave those Lostbelts to me. I'll handle them."

Void Shiki relaxed, a radiant smile spreading across her face. She took out the Holy Grail Morpheus had given her and opened another gate to a Lostbelt.

Morpheus blinked, stunned. So the Grail could be reused? He'd thought it was a one-time thing.

Had Void Shiki recharged it? With her, it wasn't impossible.

Unfazed by Morpheus's wandering thoughts, Void Shiki said, "This Lostbelt is the closest. Hurry and deal with it."

Morpheus nodded, stepped through the gate, and entered the Lostbelt.
