That tone.
That certainty.
That emotion in his voice.
Everything about the way he had said it made something clear.
He had meant it.
Even his actions lately had been different.
He never treated her this well in the beginning of their marriage.
Unless he had somehow gone through a complete transformation overnight, there was no way she could ignore how genuine he had sounded.
"Gosh!"
Olaedo covered her face again.
"If only I could just go out there and ask him."
She groaned quietly.
Just ask him. That's all.
She wanted to know the truth.
She needed to know the truth.
Because those were the exact words she had been longing to hear, even if she had not consciously realized it.
And now that she had finally heard them...
They somehow felt useless.
Because she still did not know.
Were those words really meant for her?
Or were they simply part of the agreement?
