The thought flashed through the students' minds almost at the same time.
It didn't make sense.
Before resumption, many of them had eagerly searched for information about the university. They clearly remembered seeing that the Head of their department was an elderly man.
So why was this young woman standing in front of them, acting as though she was in charge?
Had something happened?
No one knew.
Still, they quietly brought out sheets of paper.
Whatever happened, getting a few marks was far better than getting nothing at all.
Outside the classroom, however, the students who had been locked out protested even louder.
"It's not fair!"
"How can she lock the door exactly at eight?"
"We didn't even get a chance!"
Their complaints echoed through the corridor, but not a single one reached Adaugo's heart.
She ignored every word.
