"This looks good," he said suddenly.
Olaedo blinked, slightly thrown off.
"Thank you…" she replied, confused.
She had been expecting him to push back, to say something about her earlier complaints.
Instead, he was complimenting the apartment.
She couldn't help staring at Chibuzor.
There was something on his face that caught her off guard.
That look again.
The same quiet satisfaction he used to have back at their home in the capital.
But how?
This apartment wasn't even as big as his dining room.
How could he possibly be looking at this place with the same contentment?
Olaedo searched his expression, trying to understand it, but even after several seconds, she still couldn't figure it out.

This apartment felt like home.
He owned many houses, large, luxurious ones he barely stayed in.
Most of his days, and even most nights, were spent at the company.
Those places had been houses.
