The man's anger was vented onto Deimos. Every punch he landed sounded horrifyingly heavy, echoing dull sickening noises throughout the dungeon and though Deimos tried not to make a sound, as if realizing that Evangeline couldn't see and would only know how terrible things had become through noise alone, he continuously muffled every cry and groan threatening to escape from him.
Yet eventually, the pain reached its limit.
A horrible choking sound escaped him before blood suddenly spilled out from his mouth onto the floor beneath him.
"No. No! What are you doing?!"
Evangeline cried out in alarm.
She couldn't see what was happening before her yet she could hear the weak uneven huffs escaping from Deimos and that alone was enough to tell her how terrible his condition had become.
"If you are angry..." her voice trembled slightly, "...you should vent your anger on me instead!"
