Fei Ling's slender fingers brushed over the dull runes on the wall: "The mist has really done a number on the magic array!"
"There's nothing we can do; the concentration of magic power in the mist is too high, and these materials binding the array just can't handle it," Fei Yin explained softly from the side.
Fei Ling put her hands on her hips, glancing at the many spots in the castle that still had dark traces of blood: "What I'm worried about is the money issue. Do we even have enough to rebuild this place?"
"Maybe... if the Fungus Castle wins against the Empire, there won't be wars anymore, and no need for defenses?"
"Then the Fungus Castle better win."
As the two sisters chatted idly, Vera and Sirean emerged from the morning mist.
"You're right, there's no money to rebuild. If the Kingdom doesn't help, we might have to give up the ownership of this land. Although, no one's living here now anyway..."
