The doctor stared at their anxious expressions for a moment before finally smiling warmly.
"He's perfectly fine," the doctor reassured them calmly.
The tension in the hallway instantly lessened slightly.
Damien looked like his legs were about to give out from relief alone.
"But doctor…" Damien spoke up shakily, his brows furrowing deeply with worry. "What caused all that bleeding?"
His voice cracked again as tears continued sliding down his face.
"I touched his stomach earlier and it felt unusually swollen."
Fear immediately filled his eyes once more.
"Is Fred suffering from some kind of tumor?" Damien asked desperately. "There was blood everywhere…"
The doctor blinked in surprise.
"You don't know?" he asked slowly while raising an eyebrow.
But before the doctor could continue speaking any further, Gabe immediately stepped forward.
"Doctor, can we speak privately in your office first?" Gabe interrupted quickly while forcing out a strained smile.
