Chapter 261 - Chapter 261 The Brave Warrior Challenging the Power of Creation Alone

In ancient East Asian legends, when Pangu created the world, he wielded a giant axe.

With a single strike, the light qi rose to form the heavens, while the heavy qi descended to form the earth.

When later generations read this, they would always be filled with boundless imagination or yearning, wondering how magnificent and dazzling the power of creating the world must have been.

Unfortunately, it remained merely a story from myths and legends. Even with today's advanced technology,

countless film and television works have attempted to recreate this scene, yet they always feel somewhat unreal.

Because everyone knows it's just special effects, no matter how impressive the visual effects may be!

Fake will always be fake; it can never become real.

But now, in the new era of humanity, the Cosmic Era (CE),

when the Allied Atlantic Federation Fleet, serving as the vanguard attack force for Naturals,

attempted to launch an assault on the Coordinator home base PLANT in the skies,

human senses and memories were refreshed!

For the first time, humanity witnessed with their own eyes the terror created by their own civilization's technology.

It's like the story of Lord Ye who loved dragons—when the dragon truly appeared, how many could remain unafraid?

"Hurry, we need rescue here!"

"Where are the doctors? Where are the doctors? Please, bring the doctors here, I beg you!"

"Don't die! You can't die! Didn't we promise? After the war ends, we'll go fishing together out at sea!"

"Will, wake up! Mary, Mary is waiting for you!"

"Ahhh! They're all dead, all dead! Why is this happening? Why is this happening?!"

Having made a mistake, they had to face the consequences. The Atlantic Federation Army had previously promised the East Asian Federation

that they would take on the task of attacking PLANT's homeland. The Atlantic Federation had thought it through well:

On one hand, they used this as an excuse to delay the East Asian Federation's accountability.

On the other hand, to address the widespread criticism of their blatant betrayal of trust and to uphold the dignity of their great nation's glory,

they also attempted to use the victory over PLANT to prove to the world that they were still formidable.

This was meant to intimidate those jackals following behind the East Asian Federation, who were already restless and eager to pounce and tear at their flesh!

To be fair, the Atlantic Federation's plan couldn't be considered wrong. After all, they had already used the Light of Peace against the East Asian Federation.

And now, on the battlefield against PLANT, this well-known enemy,

they would be even less hesitant to deploy the weapons they had previously used against the East Asian Federation.

The Atlantic Federation intended to end this war by continuously dropping the Light of Peace along their path.

However, reality often diverges greatly from expectations.

To achieve their goal, the Atlantic Federation painstakingly assembled a fleet whose numbers were no less than that of the East Asian Federation.

Although the quality of their enhanced Dagger MS was still inferior to that of the East Asian Federation, in theory, it was sufficient to exhaust the severely depleted ZAFT forces.

Thus, as soon as this fleet appeared, just as the Atlantic Federation had anticipated, their fleet silenced all nations within Earth's gravity well, except for the East Asian Federation.

However, they never expected that this fleet group, before even reaching the battlefield to engage the ZAFT Forces and before deploying their strike aircraft carrying the Light of Peace, would face a devastating blow.

The Atlantic Federation's proud fleet was caught off guard when ZAFT, with the assistance of the Library, managed to barely restore and unleash an attack from Genesis!

The Atlantic Federation fleet, brimming with confidence and eager to achieve military glory, was baptized by a massive beam torrent that seemed to divide the heavens and the earth.

The Coordinators had opted for a preemptive strike, as everyone knew these Atlantic Federation forces harbored ill intentions.

After all, they had come with genuine plans to annihilate nations and eradicate species—so why show any courtesy?

In an instant, the Coordinators' Genesis Light surged forth in a torrent.

Once majestic and imposing battleships were vaporized in large numbers.

Compared to those twisted wrecks or ships that exploded due to the self-detonation of the Light of Peace, the vaporized battleships could be considered fortunate—at least the crew and soldiers aboard did not suffer physical or psychological torment.

Without even needing to close their eyes, they painlessly bid farewell to this cruel reality.

But those who narrowly survived the baptism of the Genesis Light were the ones truly plunged into unbearable agony.

It was also the beginning of endless nightmares to come.

In just a few seconds, comrades who had lived and trained together day and night were gone.

Even among the survivors, many were covered in blood, seemingly on the verge of a painful death the next moment.

Some soldiers were even sucked into the vacuum of space, with their comrades unable to rescue them in time before being pulled in themselves, meeting their demise.

Wails and boiling cries filled the air, shrouding the entire fleet in boundless grief!

Yet, the Atlantic Federation Army's plight, growing ever more tragic, garnered no sympathy from their enemies.

At Jachin Due, the Coordinators' final line of defense, numerous ZAFT Forces soldiers watched the Atlantic Federation's misery on their screens, but instead of pity, they felt a surge of ambition not originally theirs.

Repeated setbacks against the East Asian Army had driven their morale to a low point, but now it soared anew!

In their desperation, they saw hope!

They glimpsed the chance for victory!

"Valiant warriors of the ZAFT Forces!"

Seizing the moment, Patrick promptly capitalized on the fervor to deliver a pre-battle mobilization to the entire army. His message was simple and direct.

He informed his troops that a second Genesis attack was being prepared.

The next strike would target the damned, evil fleet of the East Asian Alliance. Once the East Asia Fleet was completely annihilated and the threat to PLANT's homeland eliminated,

Genesis would unleash a third, fourth, and more attacks until all Natural forces were swept away, until every enemy with ill intentions toward the Coordinators was eradicated.

Until the Coordinators' eternal foundation of unifying the world was firmly established, Genesis would never cease its assaults!

Therefore, Patrick demanded! Patrick commanded!

Every Coordinator warrior must fight relentlessly until that moment arrived!

"Oh!"

In response to Patrick's declaration, the ZAFT Forces' Coordinator soldiers erupted in thunderous shouts.

Stirred to frenzy by Genesis's power, none of the Coordinators doubted that with such a weapon,

they could not subdue the entire world.

Thus, filled with renewed hope, they stood ready, awaiting the arrival of their greatest enemy—

the East Asia Fleet of the Naturals.

"I never expected our side to possess such a powerful weapon."

While awaiting the arrival of their greatest enemy, the East Asia Fleet, an excited Coordinator soldier couldn't resist speaking up over the internal comms.

"Yeah, exactly! We Coordinators truly are the strongest in the world!"

With Genesis by their side, the previous anxiety facing the East Asian Army was completely swept away.

Once someone started speaking, others immediately chimed in.

For a moment, the Coordinator soldiers' internal comms were filled with laughter rippling with cheerful atmosphere.

"Why hasn't the East Asia Fleet appeared yet?"

Mocking and ridiculing voices about the East Asia Fleet rose one after another, with one soldier pushing the topic's intensity to its peak.

"I think those East Asians must have been scared out of their wits by Genesis!"

"Hahahaha."

Among various explanations, this one gained widespread acceptance among the Coordinator soldiers.

However, while ordinary soldiers could be more casual, the mid-level officers didn't join in the conversation.

After all, they were officers, perhaps maintaining more professional conduct?

Indeed, an officer at the outer defense line noticed something abnormal on his cockpit screen.

"New enemy craft? But there's no relevant data in the database?"

The speaking officer tapped on what appeared to be a small dot on the screen, attempting to continuously zoom in.

As he zoomed in, he grew increasingly puzzled.

"This speed and this size?"

Coordinator's basic knowledge was quite good, and with the computer equipped in his mobile suit, he quickly calculated the incoming target's speed and size!

"140 meters in length? And such exaggerated propulsion flames!"

"No wonder it has such astonishing speed. Is it an MS or MA?"

Without time for further thought, watching the target that previously required optical instruments to detect now becoming vaguely visible to the naked eye.

And reaching a distance where most friendly forces had already noticed and begun to feel surprised.

"Someone come quickly! Enemy attack, enemy attack!"

The officer who first detected the unknown target shouted loudly over the comm channel.

While piloting his Qilin, this officer also waved, gathering surrounding friendly forces.

Then leading a force of forty to fifty MS units, he coordinated with two Laurasia-class Battleships to fly toward the unknown target.

"Naive! Do the Naturals really think they can breach our defense line with just one unknown MA or MS thing?"

During the advance, the excited Coordinator soldiers mostly remained unconcerned.

Aiming at the enemy approaching like a meteor flashing with white light, numerous Coordinator soldiers raised their beam rifles specially equipped with energy magazines.

On the battleships behind them, main beam cannons were adjusting their barrels while missile launch bay doors opened.

"Fire!"

When the unknown target entered attack range, following the officer's command.

The MS formation opened fire, battleship main cannons joined in, launching together with countless missiles.

"Beep beep beep."

Inside the unknown MA or MS, a man wearing a white combat space suit watched the welcoming gift from the Coordinators coming straight at him.

Without a trace of tension, he calmly extended his hand and pressed a row of buttons on the console before him.

The crisp sound of the buttons was followed by the activation of the large Mobile Armor-like device.

The cover plates at both front ends, likely heat dissipators, fully opened, while the already exaggerated exhaust flames from the six rear thrusters instantly thickened and intensified.

"So fast?"

Stunned, they stared at the machine moving as swiftly as a beam of light.

It nimbly dodged their side's Beam attacks and evaded all missile assaults.

The Coordinator soldiers, who had initially been relaxed and carefree, now wore grim expressions.

"It's just a bit larger, that's all."

Yet, there were still stubborn Coordinators who refused to accept reality.

Seeing that long-range attacks were ineffective, they glanced at the numerous comrades around them.

Immediately, a Coordinator soldier stepped forward, rallying those nearby to form a dense formation and fly ahead in an attempt to intercept the white machine.

They thought that as long as it couldn't take off, it would inevitably become like fish on a chopping block, utterly defenseless.

"Heh."

The pilot inside the mysterious machine curled his lips into a perfect smirk.

Watching the Coordinator soldiers flying toward him, he raised his hand and pressed another button.

A cover plate on the right side of the massive aircraft opened, revealing five neatly arranged triangular cargo containers.
