The relax and speechless Seigen Amawaka silently released the [White Tiger Mirror Talisman].
The white aura surrounding his body gradually faded, returning him to his normal state. The tight spiritual armor dissolved into flickering motes of light that drifted into the air like fireflies before disappearing.
Without saying a single word—He turned and walked toward the distance.
It was obvious.
He intended to hand over the battlefield to Gojo Satoru.
From afar, shattered concrete crunched beneath his boots as he moved through the ruins.
Dust floated lazily in the heated air.
And yet—
That simple act made Gojo Satoru shout in mock disbelief.
"Hey, hey! What are you doing, Seigen-san?!" He waved his hand exaggeratedly. "Running away already? I can't handle this alone, you know!"
He placed a hand dramatically on his chest.
"My big brother here is super strong. Without your help, I can't win at all!"
Seigen didn't even bother to turn his head. His expression remained completely indifferent to the "struggling" voice of Gojo.
Without responding—He simply walked farther away, more quickly then before. Eventually, he reached a relatively intact section of broken pavement and sat down among the ruins.
Crossing one leg casually.
Clearly—He had no intention of interfering.
"Tch…" Gojo clicked his tongue in disappointment. "This useless guy actually ignores me…"
He muttered under his breath.
Then, lowering his voice slightly, "Let's see if I don't tell it to little Mayura later…"
He continued mumbling complaints like a child denied attention.
But—
Before he could finish speaking, A massive shadow suddenly fell from above.
WHOOSH—!!
Gojo's moved instantly without a change of expression, stepping aside instantly.
BOOOOM—!!
A violent crash shook the battlefield.
A crater nearly three meters deep formed where Gojo was moments earlier.
Chunks of asphalt scattered in all directions.
Gojo brushed the imaginary dust from his sleeve, his expression turned mildly irritated.
"I'm still talking here…" He muttered. "Don't interrupt people."
Jogo's single glowing eye flashed with killing intent at his casual comment. His body radiated unbearable heat.
Slowly—
He raised two fingers.
Behind him—A grotesque swelling formed along the volcanic mound attached to his back.
Like a pustule bursting open, another small volcanic structure erupted into existence.
Molten cracks glowed intensely.
Then—
ROOOAAARRR—!!
Blazing flames burst forward violently as if a beast's roar. The torrent of fire surged outward.
Swallowing everything in it's path before reaching towards Gojo like a spear!
Gojo looked at the attach, tilted his head slightly. With a amuse smile paster on his face.
As the flames surged past him—Engulfing everything ahead with him.
The fire spread across the battlefield, reducing the breathing air in the atmosphere as it burn the leftover debris, melting the metals and rods.
Even the air shimmered from extreme heat then before.
Nearby—
The flames narrowly passed the left side of Seigen Amawaka, who remained seated calmly in the distance.
.....
Jogo watched carefully.
Then—He exhaled slowly.
Witnessing that Gojo Satoru was engulfed by flames before he had 'time to react'. A cruel grin appeared, "Tch…" He muttered as if saying to himself then others. "So it turns out you're just flashy… but useless."
He waved his sleeve dismissively.
"All talk… no substance."
Seeing Gojo Satoru engulfed in flames before he appeared to react—Jogo felt relief.
Earlier, He had been cautious.
Too cautious...
Now, He felt foolish for worrying.
"Since I can't escape…" He muttered quietly. "Then killing you first is the best option."
Judging from the result—The strategy worked perfectly.....
Jogo brushed the leftover flames from his hands before turning slightly — Preparing to assess the battlefield.
But, The next moment, A calm voice rang like a morning wind behind him.
"Who are you calling flashy but useless?"
Jogo froze instantly. His body stiffened.
Slowly, He turned his head to his behind, his eye was blurry and twitching for a second before he could focus at who or what is behind him.
And as someone who have read too many novel would know—Standing there, Completely unharmed was you guess it right—Gojo Satoru.
Tilting his head slightly as he look directly at the him.
STEP!
"Tsk…" Jogo clicked his tongue as his mood instantly darkened again. As he distant himself from Gojo in a heavy step.
Dark Cursed energy surged violently through his body as veins began to appear on his body.
He was ready to attack at any moment.
Step! Step! Step!
Gojo took several slow steps forward without any mind to his reaction, his hands casually tucked into his pockets.
His mind was relaxed. Unbothered even.
"You know…" He began casually. "There's one thing I'm still curious about."
Step! Step! Step!
His gaze sharpened slightly, even though it was hard to know about it from his blindfolded. "How exactly were you born?"
He stopped walking. After the question that he was asking himself several times.
Standing several meters away.
"As far as I know…" He continued. "You shouldn't exist in this world." His voice turned thoughtful. Almost analytical. It was unusual for anyone to hear Gojo to speak like that....he feel like a different person.
"Even your power system is completely different." He tilted his head slightly, his inner thoughts hidden behind his usual expression. "Sure… demons born from fear of volcanoes or earth might exist…but they are demon not cursed spirit..."
He shrugged casually, without noticing or ignoring that the veins of Jogo's body has increased.
"But curse spirits like you?" His smile returned, his usual smile, "That's impossible."
In his way, it was! He had already fixed it...kill every cursed spirit that was unknowingly created by him even created a new method or technique so that it never happened again.
He pointed casually toward Jogo.
"So tell me…" His tone became slightly commanding. "What exactly are you? How were you born?"
"..."
Jogo remained silent for a moment, his single eye narrowed as he focus on Gojo's words.
Unconsciously he began to remember something as deep within his memories, A vague image surfaced.
A mysterious figure. A voice. Or a presence.
He remembered only one thing clearly— He had been chosen, born from human fear.
But, even he knows that it was not naturally. Not entirely.
Finally, He spoke.
"I'll tell you…" He lifted his right hand slowly. "If you win."
With a flick of his wrist—He threw a small object into the volcanic mound behind him.
And a moment later—
The mound trembled violently.
Then—
BUZZZZZZ—!!
Ten grotesque mosquito-like creatures burst outward. Flames wrapped around their bodies.
They were—Ember Insects.
Their wings beat rapidly.
Creating piercing disturbing sounds in the air.
BOOM—!!
They surged forward at terrifying speed. Like flaming bullets.
Their sharp mouths pointed forward— Aiming to pierce straight through Gojo Satoru's body.
In response to their violent attack, Gojo simply raised his right hand.
Forming a seal with one hand.
The next instant, the ten insects stopped.
Midair. Frozen.
Their wings flapped wildly, furiously.
Yet—They couldn't move forward. Not even a millimeter.
Behind Gojo, The shock waves from their attack cracked the surrounding.
Long fractures spread across the earth. Stretching tens of meters outward.
Gojo sighed lightly.
"Ah…" He muttered. "This trick again…" He scratched his cheek lazily. "Why does this feel so familiar?"
Knowing that the insects couldn't move forward, the Ember Insect face twitched as their bodies began swelling.
Expanding. Distorting. As if someone has released a large amount of air or liquid inside of them.
After they have expanded their body enough—
BOOOOM—!!
Explosions erupted simultaneously.
Shockwaves and sonic blasts collided violently, which also resulted in extinguishing the flames that were on the surrounding before it was again filled with dust and flames!
"IT'S NOT OVER YET!" Jogo roared loudly at the same time he raised his arms. Controlling the flames as another torrent of flames erupted.
ROOOOAAARRR—!!
Fire surged forward again as if a roar of a furious beast.
Wave after wave.
Relentlessly assaulted the environment.
A devastating combination attack that continue without any intention of stopping.
Even undead—would be reduced to ashes by this attack!
Jogo crossed his arms confidently.
"Hmph…" He sneered again. "Only after fighting did I realize…"
"I was too cautious before." He shook his head. Mocking himself. "I thought too highly of you. Hehehe.." He laughed coldly. "Afraid of someone who can't even dodge?"
Still, Just in case— He raised his arm again. Preparing to deliver a finishing blow. Just then.
"Wow…I am actually being looked down upon by you..I'm really disappointed."
A voice spoke behind him. Again!
Jogo's eye widened instantly. His body as if used to this, reacted on instinct. His right arm ignited with intense flames.
He spun around violently—Swinging his hand downward.
Aiming directly at Gojo's neck.
SLASH—!!
Flaming claws sliced through the air making a slashing sound in the air.
Jogo stared at the severed "head" flying upward that was being burned with the flames of that attack.
Still not satisfied, he slammed his palm downward again as Purple-black flames erupted violently.
"Die!!"
But—Another voice spoke.
"Who's dying?"
Jogo froze, his single eye widened to its limit.
Before he could react—A hand grabbed his head without minding the lava like flames that were getting release.
Then—
BOOOOM—!!
His body was slammed violently into the ground.
Gojo stepped forward. Pressing downward with his foot.
"GRAAAAH—!!"
Jogo screamed in fury and pain. His chest caved inward with purple blood burst from his mouth as he coughed violently.
"Impossible…" His voice shook. "You head… I killed you…"
He stared upward in horror. Looking at Gojo— Standing completely unharmed as if the burning "head" was an illusion!
Gojo paused. He didn't attack immediately.
Instead, he stepped back slightly.
"You're curious, right?" He tilted his head. Smiling faintly with a hint of nostalgic vibe. "Since you're so curious…"
He shrugged casually. "I'll explain it to you."
Jogo blinked in disbelief.
Tell him?
Explain his technique?
Who would reveal their abilities to an enemy?
But, Gojo didn't hesitate.
He stretched out his right hand slowly.
Opening all five fingers.
His smile widened from each second as if a child showing his drawing to his parents.
"Don't be afraid…" He beckoned casually, "Come on. Try. Try"
Waving his hand lightly side to side. Even the people's who were observing from afar were shocked and stunned by the display.
