Oblivious to the silent battle unfolding a few steps behind her, Leo narrowed his eyes even further, his expression growing so intensely serious that even Athena began to wonder what exactly he was looking at.
He didn't say anything at first. Instead, he slowly turned her face to the left. Then to the right.
He leaned back slightly. Then leaned in again.
His brows furrowed deeper.
The laughter around the booth gradually died down as everyone watched him inspect Athena as though he were trying to solve the greatest mystery of his life.
Athena finally frowned. "...Leo."
"Hm?"
"What exactly are you looking at?"
He didn't answer. Instead, he circled her twice. By the second lap, Levi was already shaking his head.
"I know that look," he muttered, taking a sip from his drink. "He's about to say something incredibly stupid."
"I'm not stupid," Leo replied without even looking at him. "I'm investigating."
