"But didn't Brother James become the official Baron of the territory?" Leo asked.
Lily shifted slightly in his embrace and reached up, her cheeks brushing against his face.
"Yes, but I also know him and Sister Sera wouldn't be happy for long in that situation. I've been around them for a few years, and they want to travel the world like us too. But..." Lily trailed off, her voice softening.
She didn't finish, but the reason was obvious—James's lower strength.
Now that Leo thought about it, the highest-ranked individual in any city led by a Baron was only a Peak 2-star, or a tier higher in rare cases. That was simply inadequate in this beast-infested world, where danger lurked at every corner.
