The best method should be a fire attack, but there's no gasoline here. A regular campfire doesn't have enough power, unless it becomes a blazing fire wall, but under current conditions, that's impossible.
Not to mention that the temperature is extremely low right now. There is still some accumulated snow on the branches, and it just rained a few days ago, making everything damp. A fire attack can only serve to block the way.
If we use poison... Glancing around, there are swarms of mutated moles flooding the place like locusts, too many in number. At best, it might knock out a few, but it won't slow down the main force.
