Melody Thorne looked at the other two paintings, one was of a horse, perfect for hanging in the study, while the other was a white tree, with white branches, and a blooming rose on the trunk representing pure love.
"Miss Sloan, I love all your paintings!" Melody Thorne exclaimed. "Why does it feel like you painted exactly what I want?"
"Then let Miss Sloan paint a few more for you!" Jared Quinn's arm wrapped around her shoulder, "Our house has many rooms that could use some artwork."
"Melody Thorne praised quickly," Selina Sloan began, "The paintings have been delivered, so I shall leave now. There are still many commissioned pieces awaiting completion at my place."
"Shall I ask the butler to see you off?"
"No... there's no need, I can manage on my own," Selina Sloan's gaze swept over Jared Quinn, a faint glance that held something hidden, elusive.
