"Don't attend any activities for the next few days," Jared Quinn said, standing behind Melody Thorne.
Melody Thorne instinctively stepped away when she heard his voice. "I'm leaving first."
"Melody," Jared's large hand gripped her arm, refusing to let go. These days he was nearly driven insane by the torment.
He never knew when his illness would relapse, so he dared not easily appear by her side.
"What? Holding onto someone you dislike, Mr. Quinn, are you slapping your own face hard?" Melody turned around expressionless, "The butler should have given you the divorce papers, right? Perfect, you dislike me, and I dislike you. Let's part ways cleanly."
Jared's handsome brows furrowed fiercely. "You know very well I said that to protect you."
For her, he could risk his life multiple times, how could he possibly hate her?
"So what?" Melody looked at him, "Are you looking to slap your own face now? Want me to forgive you?"
