Melody Thorne felt a pang in her chest, "I'm going back right now."
"Click." The door opened from the inside, and a pair of large hands wrapped around her waist, pulling her in. "It's definitely too late to go back now."
"Then what do we do?" Melody Thorne looked up into Jared Quinn's dark eyes, "Might they have already sent someone here? Jared, you need to leave quickly."
She realized she had fallen into Hans Montrose's trap. He must have known she was planning to escape, so he intentionally gave her an opportunity, just to find Jared Quinn's whereabouts.
"It's already too late, let's just wait," Jared Quinn closed the door of the room.
"But..."
"Don't worry," Jared Quinn held her and sat down in a chair nearby, his eyes dark and brooding. "Even if you hadn't come out today, I would have come in."
It was obvious Mr. Seymour had an agenda, and Jack Montrose was ambitious. There was no way he would let her stay alone in the Seymour family.
