Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Childish Prank 5

What's this?? A rubber cockroach used by elementary school kids to scare people??

Vivian pinched the big cockroach with her fingers and looked at Ethan Hayes suspiciously.

However, in Ethan Hayes' eyes, Vivian, who was pinching the cockroach but managed to stay composed, suddenly seemed scarier than the cockroach itself.

"Did you put this here?" Vivian shook the big cockroach in her hand, lifting her chin towards Ethan Hayes as she asked.

"No... no." Ethan Hayes replied, his face pale, but he forced himself to answer.

"Ha, childish." Vivian rolled her eyes at him, stood up, and tossed the big cockroach into the trash can next to the bookshelf. She casually wiped her hands with a tissue and said, "What other welcome gifts have you prepared for me??"

"No... no more..." Ethan Hayes shook his head, but his gaze subconsciously darted to Vivian's backpack sitting next to the desk.

Vivian followed his gaze to her backpack, understanding what was happening. She quickly walked to her backpack, unzipped it, and peeked inside.

Hmm, great, there was a fat and realistic-looking big mouse lying in her backpack.

Vivian looked up, smiled slightly at Ethan Hayes, and directly picked up the mouse by its tail, shaking it at him. "Did you put this here too?"

"No, I didn't, how could I." Ethan Hayes did his best to remain calm.

What kind of tutor did his parents find for him?! The girl in front of him had a soft and sweet voice and looked delicate and fragile, but how could she be so calm and unflinching in grabbing that cockroach and mouse with her hands... even though they were fake... It was the same trick that had scared several male teachers into screaming loudly before...

"Good, I'll reluctantly believe that this fake mouse grew legs and ran into my backpack on its own." Vivian maintained a calm smile as she casually placed the big mouse on the desk. Then she opened a math tutoring book, quickly marked a series of problems with a ballpoint pen, and pushed it in front of Ethan Hayes, saying, "Please finish these twenty problems within half an hour."

"So many!?" Ethan Hayes looked at the math problems in front of him and his eyes instantly widened.

"Too few for you? How about I mark a few more?" Vivian continued to smile and motioned as if she was about to take back the tutoring book from him.

Ethan Hayes quickly protected the tutoring book, with a defeated look on his face, and said, "No need, I'll do them, I'll do them now."

"Hmph." Vivian snorted forcefully at him, crossed her arms, and sat motionless beside him to watch.

Ethan Hayes sighed deeply, picked up the pen silently, and began to work on the problems.

Vivian watched Ethan Hayes, his side profile distinct, the lines sharp, his eyes slightly lowered as he worked on the problems, his elegant eyebrows slightly furrowed, his thin lips pressed into a tight line.

For someone who was clearly a handsome young man, he was, unfortunately, so immature.

Vivian rolled her eyes silently in her heart, and as he was busy solving the problems, she got up and walked to the bookshelf, starting to examine the books on it.

It's worth noting that Ethan Hayes' parents had a diverse collection of books, ranging from the medical care and historical documents, from inspirational self-help to workplace strategies, almost resembling a small library.
