Summer Shawcross continued to speak.
"My previous obedience to you was merely a temporary measure. Without it, how could I possibly have the chance to leave you today!" At this point, she suddenly laughed, then laughed again with an extremely mocking tone.
"A domineering and heartless man like you, how could I possibly fall in love with you, it's truly laughable..."
When she said this, her heart suddenly hurt... it hurt so much...
There was silence on the other end of the phone for two seconds, and then the man's voice suddenly sounded, carrying a hint of vigilance.
"Is someone with you?!"
Summer paused for a moment, Melanie Trueman didn't make any noise next to her, so... he must be unsure of the situation on her side and was merely guessing from her previous words that there might be someone with her.
Thinking about this, Summer took a deep breath and then calmly spoke again.
