"I didn't think it through..." Sherry nodded gently, a hint of self-reproach on her face.
In all these years, this was the first time she'd made such a mistake.
"I don't want this kind of thing to happen again." The man's voice, tinged with a bit of harshness, slowly sounded.
He didn't leave her here to be bullied by those minor characters!
When the man's words fell, Sherry's face couldn't help but change slightly.
"I understand, things like this won't happen again in the future." She quickly nodded, promising.

Upon hearing this, Sherry was momentarily stunned. When she looked up at the man, he had already turned around, striding out of the villa, disappearing into the night.
Sherry stood frozen in place, watching his retreating figure. After a long while, she let out a gentle sigh.
