Even though he didn't know the exact mass of the object at that moment, he could still imagine that as long as the mass reached a certain weight, the explosive power generated by crashing into Earth might not instantly destroy all life forms on the surface, nor obliterate an entire continent. At the very least, it would unleash power equivalent to a high-yield nuclear explosion, and that was almost indisputable.
