They hadn't encountered other survivors along the way, but the truth was, it wasn't time for other survivors to appear yet. This technology was not as perfect as imagined; important NPC roles would appear too rigid if they were solely pre-set, so all were played by real NPCs. Apart from a few program staff and employees from the Wen Group, most of these real NPCs were selected from the audience.
Of course, anyone acting as a real NPC had their memories sealed to avoid slip-ups and prevent the eight guests from noticing anything abnormal.
The audience would never realize that among the eight guests, one carried memories while six others received hints. Only the commissioner was completely kept in the dark as a participant.
