Chapter 246 - Chapter 246: Runti and Page One vs. Kizaru

Kaido was never one to let a powerful asset go to waste, and the massive, demonic body of Oars was no exception. Interestingly, the idea to reclaim the ancient giant didn't actually originate from the Governor-General himself. It was Dr. Hogback who proposed the plan. After witnessing Gecko Moria meet his end and undergo cybernetic modification at Kaido's hands, Hogback realized the potential. As the original creator of the Oars zombie, he knew better than anyone the sheer power residing within that five-hundred-year-old corpse. Kaido, recognizing the strategic advantage, gave his approval. This led to the creation of what he now called the Giant God Soldier Corps.

The arrival of these four terrifying monsters was sudden and violent. Without a single wasted movement, they began their assault. One of them, the ancient giant Oars, towered over the battlefield like a living warship. He let out a deafening roar and swung a massive fist, striking a nearby Marine vessel. The impact was catastrophic; the warship exploded instantly, and the surrounding sea was swallowed by flames. As the surviving Marines scrambled in terror, Oars threw another punch. A Marine Vice Admiral attempted to intercept the blow, but the sheer force of the collision sent him spiraling through the air like a ragdoll. Within moments, two mighty warships had been sent to the bottom of the ocean.

The other three soldiers were just as devastating. The modified Bandy Wapol stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with mechanical malice.

"Momo Hundredfold!"

Wapol smashed the mast of a nearby ship and gripped the splintered wood in one hand as if it were a scythe. Utilizing the power of the More-More Fruit, the mast expanded until it was several times its original thickness. With one powerful swing, he cleaved through another warship, sinking it in a single blow.

While Moria lacked that specific brand of raw, destructive force, his lethality was arguably more terrifying. He reached out, his shadow flickering with dark energy.

"Shadow's Asgard!"

The darkness beneath him erupted into a sea of writhing tentacles. They lunged at the nearby Marines, forcibly stripping them of their shadows. Deprived of their souls and exposed to the harsh glare of the sun, the soldiers could only scream as their bodies ignited, turning to ash where they stood. As Moria absorbed the stolen shadows, his own frame swelled to a monstrous size. He began to rampage across the decks, looking every bit like a demon from a nightmare.

The weakest of the group was Kurozumi Orochi. His natural combat ability had never been impressive, but he was bolstered by the power of the Mythical Zoan Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi. In his Eight-Headed Serpent form, he became a massive behemoth. His modified heads snapped at the air, firing bolts of lightning in every direction. The presence of these four Giant God Soldiers exerted a psychological pressure far greater than that of the Seraphim, who looked like mere children by comparison. The morale of the Marines, which had briefly rallied, was crushed once more. The soldiers began a frantic, steady retreat.

"This is impossible... how can they have this much power?"

The sight sent shockwaves through the observers. It wasn't just the Marines who were stunned; the pirates on the island and the members of the Big Mom Pirates watched in disbelief. Many wondered if the Beasts Pirates had truly reached such a terrifying level of strength. Between the army of Artificial Devil Fruit users and these modified powerhouses, it was becoming clear that Kaido might not have even needed Big Mom's help to dismantle the Marine fleet. To many, the conclusion was unavoidable: the Beasts Pirates had become the undisputed strongest force on the sea.

"Don't just stand there! Stop them immediately!"

Fleet Admiral Akainu finally lost his patience as he watched his men being slaughtered. Under his direct command, the Seraphim were forced to pivot. They abandoned their pursuit of the lesser pirates and moved to engage the Giant God Soldiers. A series of high-stakes duels began, pitting the World Government's finest technological weapons against Kaido's modified monsters. On paper, the four-on-four matchup seemed like a fair way for the Marines to contain the threat. However, an unexpected variable suddenly crashed into the battlefield.

"Desert Spada!"

A crescent blade of razor-sharp sand dropped from the sky, slamming directly into S-Crocodile. Caught completely off guard, the Seraphim was sent flying backward.

"Crocodile!"

The Marines below watched in fury as the real Sir Crocodile descended from the clouds. His eyes were cold as he hovered above the chaos.

"Crocodile, have you lost your mind?" Sakazuki barked, his voice laced with ice. "Are you actually siding with Kaido now?"

"Hmph." Crocodile didn't even flinch at the Fleet Admiral's glare. He spared a brief glance toward the sky, where Kaido and Charlotte Linlin were watching the spectacle with amusement, before turning his gaze back to the Marines. "I couldn't care less about your little war with Kaido. But you had the nerve to create a puppet using my likeness. I don't care if it's the Marines, the World Government, or that senile old man Vegapunk—I will never forgive this insult."

As if in response, an identical attack shot toward him from below.

"Desert Spada!"

Crocodile looked down with utter disdain, waving his hand to meet the strike.

"Desert Spada!"

The two identical blades of sand collided in the air, neutralizing each other in a gritty explosion.

"A fake is nothing more than a fake!"

Staring at S-Crocodile, who looked exactly like a younger version of himself, a deep, inexplicable rage boiled over in his heart.

"Go to hell!"

Crocodile lunged forward, immediately engaging his clone in a fierce struggle. This unexpected interference left the Seraphim's ranks disorganized. Below them, the remaining battles were chaotic: S-Bat clashed with the Moria Giant God Soldier, S-Shark traded blows with the Wapol Giant God Soldier, and S-Bear tried to hold back the massive Oars. This left the Orochi Giant God Soldier completely unchecked. The serpent rampaged through the Marine ranks, leaving a trail of scorched bodies wherever his lightning struck.

Finally, the Marine high command could no longer sit idly by.

"I suppose I'll have to handle this myself," Kizaru sighed. Known for his peerless speed, the Admiral transformed into a streak of golden light and soared into the sky. He crossed his hands, and a light as bright as the sun began to emanate from his palms. "Yasakani no Magatama!"

Just as Kizaru prepared to rain down destruction, a sudden prickle of danger touched his senses. On the distant deck of the Beasts Pirates' flagship, two young officers were striking a very familiar pose.

"Little Pei, the wait is over! It's finally our turn!"

"I'm ready, Big Sister!"

Ulti and Page One instantly shifted into their Human-Beast forms. Their bodies were coated in a thick, pitch-black layer of Armament Haki. A flickering red aura began to dance around Ulti—the unmistakable sign of Conqueror's Haki.

"Hakai!"

A massive shockwave of black and red energy erupted from the siblings, colliding head-on with Kizaru's golden lasers. The impact turned the sky into a kaleidoscope of violent colors, and the resulting energy blast swept away the heavy storm clouds for miles.

Watching the exchange, Big Mom's eyes filled with a rare sense of nostalgia. She turned to look at Kaido. "That brings back memories, doesn't it? Looking at those two youngsters is like looking in a mirror. It reminds me of our days in the Rocks Pirates. You clearly have high hopes for them, Kaido."

"Hmph," Kaido grunted, not bothering to deny it. "I hate to admit it, Linlin, but we're both getting old."

Linlin's expression stiffened for a moment, and she awkwardly turned her head away from him.

"Ulti, Page One, Reiju, and Pudding... those four are the youngest members of my crew right now," Kaido continued. "They represent the future of the Beasts Pirates."

Linlin snapped her head back toward him, looking anxious. "Wait a minute, Kaido! Pudding is my daughter!"

"Didn't you practically give her to me? She's a member of the Beasts Pirates now."

"You..."

Linlin started to argue but quickly realized it wasn't worth the effort over such a small detail. She turned her attention back to the battlefield where Ulti and Page One were already trading blows with the Light Human. "Tell me then, do you honestly think those two kids can actually defeat Kizaru?"

"Of course not," Kaido replied simply. "But they'll have no problem keeping him busy."
