Chapter 239 - Chapter 239: God vs. God

A heartbroken cry echoed through the halls of the General's Residence in the Flower Capital. Driven by her unique will, Otama's Observation Haki allowed her voice to pierce through the veil of the nightmare, reaching into the depths of Baby-5's psyche and pulling her back to reality.

The moment Baby-5 snapped awake, she was met with a terrifying sight. Otama was collapsed in her arms, covered in blood and breathing heavily from exhaustion. Looking over at Monet, who was still trapped in a daze and sprouting jagged ice, Baby-5 finally understood the weight of what had happened.

"You idiot, Otama!" Baby-5 cried, her voice trembling. "How could you let yourself get hurt like this just for me?".

Sweat beaded on Otama's forehead from the pain, but she looked up at her sister with a weak, happy smile. "I'm just glad you're awake, Sister," she whispered.

In that moment, Baby-5 felt a profound sense of being needed—not as a tool or a subordinate, but as family. It was a feeling she had craved her entire life. She hugged the little girl tightly before quickly pulling away as Otama winced in pain. Moving fast, Baby-5 grabbed bandages from the hall and began to dress the wounds. Fortunately, Otama's physical constitution had become remarkably resilient through her training, and the injuries, while painful, weren't life-threatening.

Once the bandages were secure, Baby-5 stood up, placing herself protectively in front of Otama. She looked at Monet, who was still murmuring the names of Doflamingo and Sugar in her sleep.

"What is going on?" Baby-5 asked anxiously.

"I don't know, Sister," Otama replied. "It's like the whole world is caught in an illusion".

Desperate to wake their companion, Baby-5 activated her Devil Fruit ability. Her arm shifted and transformed into a heavy cannon, which she aimed directly at Monet. Otama gasped in shock, but Baby-5 reassured her. "Don't worry, I'll control the blast. I just need to shock her out of it".

BOOM!

The cannon roared, and a shell struck Monet. As the smoke cleared, Monet began to cough, her eyes fluttering open. She stared at her hands in confusion, completely unaware of the nightmare she had just escaped.

"No time to explain, Monet!" Baby-5 shouted, scooping Otama up. "We have to protect the General and get out of here!".

The three of them rushed out of the residence, but the sight waiting for them in the Flower Capital was horrifying. The city had fallen into absolute chaos. Colossal monsters were rampaging through the streets—beings that looked like Kaido's dragon form, the eight-headed serpent of Orochi, and a nightmare parade of ogres and zombies. Many citizens were trapped in the same trance, while a few conscious samurai fought desperately to hold back the tide of illusions.

"What is happening to our country?" Otama cried, her face turning pale as she saw the destruction spreading toward the distant regions of Wano.

Monet, the most experienced of the three, gritted her teeth. "This has to be a Devil Fruit ability. Someone is projecting these monsters into reality".

"How do we stop it?" Baby-5 asked, her eyes darting around the burning capital.

"There's only one way," Monet replied grimly. "We find the user and take them down. That's the only way to break the technique".

"But Wano is huge! Where do we even start looking?" Baby-5 cried.

Suddenly, Otama stiffened. She looked up at the sky, her eyes wide with pure terror. "Someone is coming... someone with a terrifying presence!".

Before they could move, a dark figure plummeted from the clouds, smashing into the ground in front of them with the force of a meteor.

BOOM!

As the dust settled, a man stood before them, his eyes filled with cold arrogance. Monet's blood ran cold. She began to tremble, her voice barely a whisper. "Red-Haired... Shanks?".

Baby-5 gasped. One of the Four Emperors was attacking while Kaido was away?. She forced herself to stand her ground, determined to protect Otama, but then she noticed something strange.

"Wait, Monet... doesn't Red-Haired Shanks only have one arm?".

Monet blinked, coming to her senses. She looked closer. The man in front of them had two arms, and the famous triple scar over his left eye was missing. Despite the resemblance, the aura was entirely different. "You're right. He looks like him, but he isn't him. Then who is he?".

"He isn't Shanks," a powerful voice resonated from behind them, warm and steady. "He is Red Hair's brother. And like Doflamingo, he is a Celestial Dragon".

The three girls turned around, feeling a wave of immense relief. Walking out from the shadows of the residence was King the Wildfire. Flames flickered from his back, his white hair contrasting against his black leather suit, his hand resting on the hilt of his katana.

"Master King!" they cried out in unison.

King looked at them with a rare nod of approval. "You did well, Otama. Now, get behind me. This is not a fight for you".

They didn't need to be told twice. As they scrambled to safety, the two titans faced one another. On one side stood King, the second-in-command of the Beasts Pirates and a survivor of the legendary Lunarian race. On the other stood Figarland Shamrock, a high-ranking member of the Holy Knights and a descendant of the world's elite.

This wasn't just a clash of factions; it was a battle between those the world called gods.

"King the Wildfire," Shamrock sneered, his voice dripping with disdain.

"Figarland Shamrock," King replied calmly. "If my intel is correct, that is your name".

Shamrock let out a sharp, mocking laugh. "Do not mention that name in the same breath as Doflamingo. Don't compare me to that piece of trash. He and the Donquixote family were fools. They abandoned the glory of godhood to live among lowly mortals".

Anger flared in the hearts of Monet and Baby-5. Even though they feared the power of a Celestial Dragon, they could not stand to hear their former Young Master insulted so casually.

Before they could speak, Otama stepped forward, her voice filled with righteous fury. "Why are you doing this? Why do you Celestial Dragons want to destroy Wano? We've done nothing to you!".

Shamrock glanced at her with eyes like ice, his expression one of absolute indifference. "Why? Because a place like Wano Country should not exist in our world".
