🧛🏻♀️ Chapter 2 🧛🏻
His voice broke as he panicked more, pressing his hands against my neck. He was hyperventilating, his fangs retracting as his human side took over in fear.
"Someone help! Please! I need help!" Yet with all the pleading and cries, there was no response from me. I was still a little bit conscious but too weak to talk or open my eyes. I heard him cry while rocking my body as he said
"I am a monster... I'm so sorry. I'll never hurt you again. Please wake up! He began to feel dizzy from the scent of my blood lingering in the air. In my still conscious self I managed to mutter three words slowly.
"You are not" at the sound of my voice, he looked down, hope and guilt mixing in his expression.
"You're still awake? But I... I tried to..." He couldn't continue as he looked down at his bloody hands guilt overwhelming him.
"Hos... Hospital" I managed to utter before fainting again.
"Right, hospital, I'll take you. Just hold on tight". He said while nodding frantically supporting my weight as he stood.

At the hospital, the doctor came out to tell him she was getting better. Felix stood outside the doctor's office, pacing nervously. He was still covered in her blood, but his expression was hopeful.
" She going to be okay?"
"Yes she just needs to rest for a few days as she has lost so much blood" he exhaled deeply, relief washing over him.
"Thank God, I'll make sure she gets all the rest she needs. Please can I see her?"
"Yes you can, please follow me". Felix follow the doctor, his steps quick and anxious. He entered her room, taking in her sleeping form with mix of guilt and relief.
"Hey... I'm here".
"Hey" she whispered as he rushed to her side, sitting carefully on the edge of her bed. His hands hovered uncertainly, wanting to hold her but afraid to hurt her again.
"I'm so glad you're awake. How are you feeling?".
"Felix, you are not a monster " Alic said as his eyes welled up with tears as he shook his head.
"But I lost control. I could have killed you. I can't believe I let my hunger take over like that".
"But you didn't" he touched her cheek gently, his voice barely above a whisper.
"I did, I should have controlled myself better. I promised I wouldn't hurt you and I failed.
"You are my best friend and I know you would never hurt me" Felix's shoulders slumped, his guilt evident.
"I want to believe that too. But I saw how weak you were... how close I came to..." He trailed off unable to finish the sentence.
"Felix don't " he took a shaky breath, his hands trembling slightly.
"I'm so sorry for scaring you, for making you think you were dying. I should have been more careful"
"Mm. Glad to know my friend is a vampire " he let out a bitter laugh, running his fingers through his hair.
"I'm not just any vampire. I'm a monster, one that needs to be more careful around humans. Especially ones as kind as you".
