Chapter 377 - Chapter 377: Scared by Ganyu’s Workload

"You want to call me Mommy?"

Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, Buer, looked at Yumemizuki Mizuki and asked in a strange tone.

Koji secretly laughed. This baku was actually a mommy's girl. Still, the gentle Greater Lord Rukkhadevata really did have a kind of maternal warmth to her. He had felt that way back then too.

Yumemizuki Mizuki's face instantly turned bright red. So she had the ability to read minds? It was over. This time, she had truly embarrassed herself all the way out of Inazuma.

The two fun-loving foxes immediately burst into merciless laughter. She actually wanted to call Greater Lord Rukkhadevata "Mommy"? Looks like she was short on love.

"Sorry. I used mind-reading subconsciously," Buer said apologetically.

She had sensed that Yumemizuki Mizuki's thoughts were rather complicated, so she had unconsciously used a tiny bit of her authority.

"It's fine."

Yumemizuki Mizuki looked like she was about to cry. It had already happened, so what else could she say? This dark history had even been learned by the two foxes. She would definitely be laughed at in the future.

"As compensation, if there is anything related to dreams that you want to understand, you may come to me at any time. I can give you guidance," Buer said.

"Really?!"

Yumemizuki Mizuki looked at Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, Buer, in excitement.

Although she belonged to the baku race, when it came to the field of dreams, she still could not compare to a natural-born god like the Dendro Archon. After all, what Buer possessed was the power of an authority.

"Naturally. I would welcome a discussion with you," Buer said with a smile.

Yae Miko and Kitsune Saiguu both revealed surprised expressions. They had not expected Greater Lord Rukkhadevata-sama to make such a promise. It really was astonishing.

Receiving guidance from a ruling god could benefit a person immensely.

The two of them were not envious, though. To them, it would not be of much use. Strength was not something one could increase simply because one wanted to. Among divine familiars, they were already considered quite outstanding. If they wanted to improve further, it would not be that easy.

"Greater Lord Rukkhadevata-sama, would you like a cup of tea?" Kitsune Saiguu asked with a smile.

A visitor was a guest, not to mention such an honored guest.

"Sure," Buer said with a nod.

Kitsune Saiguu took out tea brewed from the petals of the Sacred Sakura. Aside from the faint fragrance of Sacred Sakura petals, it also carried a slightly astringent sweetness.

"This is my first time drinking it. The flavor is quite nice," Buer said after taking a sip.

"If you like it, I have plenty here. Greater Lord Rukkhadevata-sama can take some back with her," Yae Miko said.

She had even kept tea leaves from several hundred years ago. Do not ask why they could be preserved for so long. The answer was simply that the petals of the Sacred Sakura were rather special, and they had been properly stored.

"Then I won't stand on ceremony," Buer said, not being polite. With a casual gesture, she gave Yae Miko and the others some fresh fungi from Sumeru in return.

Whether used in soup or stir-fried dishes, they tasted wonderfully fresh. Even professional mushroom gatherers rarely encountered such rare varieties, the kind that even many people from Sumeru seldom got to eat.

"If we eat these, we won't end up lying on a board, right?" Koji asked with a smile.

"No. They are all non-toxic, so you can eat them without worry. Besides, even if ordinary fungi were poisonous, they would not have much effect on people with strength like ours," Buer said, shaking her head.

"I've heard that the fungi in Sumeru's rainforest are very delicious, but I've never tried them," Yae Miko said with interest.

"They really are delicious. I ate them when I was in Sumeru. They are a very fresh and flavorful kind of food," Yumemizuki Mizuki said.

"I remember the mushrooms from Liyue being quite tasty too," Kitsune Saiguu said.

She had gone to Liyue with the Electro Archon before and tasted the delicious flavor of mountain delicacies. She still remembered it fondly even now.

Yae Miko nodded. Ganyu-oneesan had sent her many delicacies from Liyue, including fungi that Ganyu had personally picked.

"Ah, my fried tofu!"

Yae Miko looked at the plate and immediately let out a sharp cry.

"What happened?" Koji asked.

The flavor of fried tofu was just that. It was not exactly delicious, but it was decent.

"How did you eat all of it?" The two foxes glared viciously at Koji. They had barely eaten a few pieces.

"You two were eating too slowly."

"The quick-handed get food. The slow-handed get nothing."

The two foxes were speechless. If he had the guts, they should start over. They would have to show him what true fox hand speed looked like.

Buer did not stay in Inazuma for too long. She still had her own matters to handle in Sumeru. After Koji sent Buer back, he came to Liyue, and Miko followed along. She had far too much free time.

"Miko, look at Ganyu, then look at yourself. This is the gap between you. You're both long-lived species, so how did you end up like this?"

When they arrived at Ganyu's office, Koji and the others could hardly find a place to step. Documents were everywhere, while Ganyu was working seriously at her desk.

"Ahem, I can't compare to Ganyu-oneesan," Miko said, the corner of her mouth twitching.

Although Ganyu had mentioned her work in her letters, Miko had never expected it to be like this. She really was absurdly busy. If it were Miko in her place, she would probably drop dead from overwork on the very first day.

After hearing the voices, Ganyu slowly raised her head and said in surprise, "Miko-chan? Why are you here?"

"Ganyu-oneesan, Koji and I came to visit you, but you're here frantically flipping through documents."

Miko did not even know how to evaluate this. Even Raiden Makoto's workload did not seem to have been this heavy. She suspected that Liyue had thrown most of its work onto Ganyu.

It was fortunate that Ganyu was a half-adeptus. If she were an ordinary person, who knew how tall the grass on her grave would be by now.

"It's all right. My workload has actually decreased quite a bit recently," Ganyu said.

Yae Miko was even more dumbfounded. This was already "decreased quite a bit"? Then how much work had Ganyu handled at her peak? It was truly beyond her imagination.

"I'm not busy right now. I'll take you around Liyue, Miko-chan," Ganyu said as she stood up. However, with one careless movement, she knocked over the documents beside her hand.

Miko fell silent.

She felt that there was really no need to go through so much trouble. She could stroll around Liyue by herself. Ganyu still seemed rather busy.

"Ganyu, how many days has it been since you had a proper rest?" Koji asked.

For Ganyu, staying up all night was normal. Once she got into her work, she would even forget to rest. Compared to Ganyu, even a workaholic like Keqing was practically a little girl.

Ganyu thought for a moment, then replied, "I rest for a few hours every day."

Miko said speechlessly, "Ganyu-oneesan, work is not something that has to be finished in a single day. You don't need to exhaust yourself like this. Taking an appropriate rest helps improve work efficiency."

She had almost been frightened to tears. If she had to do this kind of high-intensity work, she would probably choose to jump straight off Mt. Yougou. It would be better to die outright than to be worked into a tired dog.
