Chapter 267 - Chapter 267: Soaking in the Hot Springs

Munch, munch...

Even after the big-eater contest, Varesa was still stuffing herself with food without the slightest bit of pressure.

"What an absurd appetite. The food expenses in the Collective of Plenty must be terrifying," Mualani said, unable to hold back.

One person's appetite could casually match that of dozens of people. An ordinary family really could not afford to raise a champion eater like that.

"She clearly has a normal human build, but her appetite doesn't feel human at all."

It was hard to understand why she could eat so much. Calling it talent almost felt too mild.

"In Mondstadt, I've never seen anyone who can eat this much," Eula said.

If the seven nations ever held a joint eating contest, she felt Varesa would still take first place with ease.

"People who can eat like this really are rare."

Everyone was impressed. Varesa's appetite was truly astonishing. For most people, eating their fill was enough, but for Varesa, getting full was no easy task.

"Everyone, we've just arrived at the hot spring area, and the accommodations have already been arranged."

Among the People of the Springs, hot springs were by far the most famous attraction.

Koji and the others had no objections. Soaking in a hot spring really was a wonderfully enjoyable thing.

...

"Hehe... abs... let me touch them."

Lumine was wearing a blue-and-white swimsuit. Her slimes were nowhere near Raiden Ei's or Shenhe's size, but they were just right in their own way.

At that moment, Lumine looked practically like a shameless pervert, happily groping Koji's abs.

"Control yourself. You're the Traveler, not some female hooligan."

Koji's mouth twitched as he slapped away the hand that kept wandering all over him.

The people around them had already been drawn over by the spectacle. Truly hopeless. But then again, it was exactly like her.

"Shenhe, you two should come try too," Lumine said, reluctantly pulling her hand back. Those sharply defined abs felt incredibly good to the touch.

Eula and the others were not like Lumine. Their skin was not nearly that thick.

"This feels great. Lumine, aren't you getting in?" Paimon asked.

Floating on the surface of the hot spring, Paimon wore a blissful little expression on her face.

Lumine sat down in the spring. Sure enough, it really was comfortable. It eased away fatigue and made her feel relaxed, body and mind alike.

"Woohoo..."

As the pleasantly warm spring water soaked into his body, Koji let out a satisfied groan.

The hot spring water here circulated constantly, so the water was very clean and rich with elemental energy.

"She's floating. Eula, why are yours so big?"

Seeing the buoyancy of the slimes in front of Eula, Lumine looked at her with envy. Eula's figure really was top-tier.

"How should I know?"

Whether it was from embarrassment or the hot spring itself, Eula's cheeks were flushed red.

This was not the first time. Back when they had bathed in icy water on Dragonspine, the human heart on her chest had already shown astonishing buoyancy.

Shenhe's cool, ethereal face carried its usual calm and quiet detachment. She preferred the clear, icy mountain springs, but the hot springs in Natlan were fine too. It was simply a different kind of experience.

"Fufu, you can sit at the same table as Hu Tao."

When Furina came over, Lumine teased her. Furina's slimes were about the same scale as Hu Tao's—both on the flatter side.

"Mocking the former Hydro Archon is a capital offense!"

Furina said this with embarrassed indignation, covering her chest with both hands.

There was not much there to cover, but she was genuinely shaken. It was not as if she wanted them to be this small. This was all Focalors' fault.

"Fontaine's laws can't touch me, the Traveler," Lumine said smugly, straightening her chest with pride.

"This is Natlan, not your Fontaine."

Furina's mouth twitched. What an outrageous outlaw.

"Traveler, you'd better not go back to Fontaine, or I'll have you put on trial."

"Fufu, Neuvillette would never agree to such a ridiculous trial," Focalors said with a smile.

She did not care much about body shape. Other people's opinions had nothing to do with her.

"So relaxing..."

With the Abyss problem resolved, Mavuika was visibly much more at ease. Before this, how could she possibly have had the leisure to come soak in a hot spring?

"Mavuika, I thought you'd be the type to soak in magma instead," Koji joked.

"I may be the Pyro Archon, but that doesn't mean I'm immune to the fire element. I can go into magma, sure, but that doesn't mean it would feel comfortable," Mavuika said, the corner of her eye twitching.

If you wanted to relax, of course you would choose the most comfortable option. Magma, on the other hand, was better suited for tempering the body.

"If you want a place to train your body, I recommend Musoujin Gorge in Inazuma," Koji said.

"What kind of place is that?" Mavuika asked curiously.

"A great place. Normal people really can't understand it," Lumine said.

Raiden Ei's expression turned a little strange.

"That's a scar I carved out back then. Even now, it still carries traces of the divine power I left behind."

The attacks of powerful gods could leave lasting changes on the landscape.

The seawater in Musoujin Gorge was steeped in dense divine power. Any living thing that entered it would be eroded, and it could cause serious internal damage to living creatures.

"I see. I'm interested now. If I get the chance, I'll go have some fun there," Mavuika said in understanding.

If she fought with her full strength, she too could leave behind terrain infused with the Pyro Archon's divine power, something that would not fade even after hundreds of years.

"With Electro and Pyro causing Overloaded, Mavuika, you won't get blown away, right?" Lumine asked with concern.

"Pfft, no, no. It's not that exaggerated," Mavuika said, laughing in spite of herself.

She could control her elemental power well enough that it would not leak out recklessly.

"Electro Archon, if the two of us were to spar, where would you choose?" Mavuika asked with interest.

"Somewhere spacious, and preferably someplace uninhabited."

Raiden Ei thought it over. It could not be near a city, and even in the wilderness, the location would have to be chosen carefully.

"Out at sea, perhaps. We could fight without holding back. It wouldn't have the same stability as standing on solid ground, but for gods like us, that doesn't matter much," Raiden Ei said.

"That sounds good," Mavuika said, raising a brow.

Fighting on the surface of the sea was not home ground for either her or Raiden Ei. In fact, it would impose quite a few limitations.

For the Hydro Archon, though, the sea would naturally be favorable terrain.

"No need to look at us. Compared to the two of you, neither Fufu nor I are especially good at fighting."

"If you want someone to fight, I recommend Neuvillette," Focalors said with a shrug.

Even with a home-ground advantage, she still would not be a match for these gods. The gap was too large. She simply was not a god who specialized in battle.

"The Hydro Dragon Sovereign... I've heard of him. Is he complete?" Raiden Ei asked.

"By the way, Ei, doesn't Inazuma have a Dragon Sovereign?"

Koji asked. Every nation had ancient dragons of some kind, but Inazuma seemed not to have one. The vishaps did not count—he meant one at least on the level of a god's familiar.

Raiden Ei shook her head. "I have no idea where it went."
