Chapter 323 - The Truth Is Out

From his office chair, Hiruzen raised a hand to stop the others' questions.

Shinji had just brought it up, so it was better to resolve this first.

Kakashi, meanwhile, had a somber expression, covering the Sharingan in his left eye. Although this eye granted him immense power, it also brought a heavy physical burden.

However, as it was a gift from his best friend. He had never regretted it, no matter how great the burden.

If Chakra was insufficient, then he would change his fighting style, analyze his opponent's intelligence more, and achieve victory.

He shook his head, no longer dwelling on these matters.

Kakashi then turned his thoughts to Shinji's earlier question, and after a while, he looked up at Shinji and said, "When it was first transplanted, it actually only required less than ten percent, but—"

"After that mission, I fell unconscious. When I woke up, the Chakra consumed by this eye accounted for about forty percent."

"Over the years, it has been slowly increasing."

Kakashi finished vaguely, then said no more, putting his eye patch back on.

Everyone in the office exchanged glances, all clear about the circumstances of that mission.

Shinji, on the other hand, nodded. Kakashi owed both his success and his downfall to the Sharingan.

Although the Sharingan had earned Kakashi the famous title of 'Copy Ninja', in Shinji's opinion, this title wasn't actually that impressive.

After all, even if he truly knew a thousand Ninjutsu, it would be useless if Kakashi didn't have ample Chakra to use them.

Conversely, if he didn't have this Sharingan, Kakashi would have his own direction.

Would a genius who could invent Chidori at twelve years old truly lack this one Sharingan?

The answer was obvious. For so many years, Kakashi had become famous despite always having insufficient Chakra. This precisely showed that Kakashi's talent was not bad. Obito's Sharingan was merely a constraint for Kakashi.

"Kakashi, I'll think about whether there's a way to help you limit it later." Shinji shook his head.

Convincing Kakashi to give up this eye was almost impossible. Instead, he might as well try to find a way to change the situation with Fuinjutsu.

Kakashi reverted to his lazy state, such a thing wasn't so easy.

Seeing this, Shinji said nothing more. Whether it would work out or not, they would see later. For now, the most important thing was to get Kakashi out of the way.

Thinking of this, Shinji subtly gestured to Hiruzen with his eyes.

Receiving Shinji's hint, Hiruzen understood and said to Kakashi, "Kakashi, thank you, you can go back and rest now."

Kakashi nodded.

Although he was very curious why these experiments were being done, he was truly tired now, so he bowed to everyone and left the office.

Shinji said to Hiruzen, "Sensei, Kakashi's Sharingan is similar to Fugaku-senpai's. From my observation—"

"It's definitely a Mangekyo."

"It's just that Kakashi probably doesn't know it now, or rather, he has rarely used the Sharingan in battles all this time because he was worried about insufficient Chakra."

Fugaku frowned upon hearing this. Although it meant the Uchiha no longer needed to worry about being questioned, don't forget that Obito was buried as a Konoha hero, with a cenotaph at the memorial stone.

Now, if Kakashi's Sharingan was a Mangekyo, it meant Obito was truly alive. He might also be the culprit behind the deaths of the Fourth Hokage and his wife, and Nine-Tails' rampage.

And there was the matter of his previous collaboration with Danzo.

One thing after another, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call him a Konoha traitor.

"Hokage-sama—"

"No need, Fugaku. Everything still needs to be verified." Hiruzen waved his hand, signaling Fugaku not to be like that.

However, his face had already grown grim. The Fourth's death was definitely a huge loss for Konoha, and there was also Kushina.

"Sensei, if you truly want to act on this, my suggestion is to bring Kakashi." Shinji spoke up.

"Hmm? Why?" Hiruzen was a little confused.

Kakashi's eye was also a Mangekyo. The power of one eye versus two was certainly different.

Shinji said lightly, "During my recent observation, Kakashi's Mangekyo gave me a feeling of spatial-temporal energy."

"Spatial-temporal—"

Hiruzen was stunned to hear this, then remembered when Shisui and the others had blocked the masked man.

"What terrifying talent." Hiruzen couldn't help but sigh.

Spatial-temporal talent—this was enough to make one stand out above anyone else in the Ninja World.

Fugaku also had a complex expression. Who would have thought that someone who was just a nobody in the clan, always bearing the name loser, would possess such talent?

Hiruzen nodded, looking at Shinji for confirmation. "I understand. You mean, if he tries to escape, Kakashi can also pursue him through his eye."

"Exactly." Shinji smiled, this was his idea.

"But, what if Kakashi—" Hiruzen couldn't help but hesitate.

After all, that person was Kakashi's former best friend. Kakashi had been depressed all these years precisely because of him.

"Sensei, you must believe in Kakashi. He is also a Konoha ninja with the Will of Fire."

Shinji didn't think Hiruzen's concerns were an issue at all. Kakashi might feel some guilt towards Obito. But he wasn't someone who could be easily manipulated.

"It seems my thinking was too limited." Listening to Shinji's words, Hiruzen couldn't help but shake his head and laugh.

Yes, he had watched Kakashi's growth all these years. Excessive worry was unnecessary. It would be better to let Kakashi face it himself and overcome this difficulty.

"Alright, old man, I'm leaving if there's nothing else."

Tsunade waved her hand and stood up to leave. She didn't want to get involved in these matters at all.

Jiraiya hadn't even had a chance to speak when Shinji said to Hiruzen, "Sensei, I'll go to senpai first."

After speaking, he caught up with Tsunade, who had already left the office.

"Senpai, wait!"

"Hmm? What do you want, you brat?" Tsunade turned her head to look at Shinji.

"Regarding the sealing of Kakashi's Sharingan, I need your help." Shinji stated his purpose.

"Me?" Tsunade pointed to herself.

"My Fuinjutsu might not even be as good as yours. It's useless to ask me."

Tsunade admitted that she couldn't do the Yin Cursed Seal Shinji had performed in the office earlier.

"It's different. I need to use your medical skills to cooperate with my idea." Shinji waved his hand and said.
