The very next day, the van smelled like takeout.
Minjae had grabbed containers from the venue catering on the way out because that was what Minjae did after long production days. Nobody asked him to. He just did it, and now five styrofoam boxes were stacked on the seat beside him, and the van smelled like rice and whatever sauce was in the one Doyun had already opened.
Outside, Seoul was doing what Seoul always did at midnight, loud and lit and completely unbothered by the fact that five people in a van were still processing the last six hours.
They sat in their usual spots. Haejin up front. Doyun and Taekyung in the middle row. Minjae and Jisoo in the back.
Jisoo had his head against the window.
He was not on his phone.
