Allen Wallace was still trying to understand his friend, whilst also ducking from the bullets being fired his way, when one shot sent a bullet straight to his gut.
He looked at Matteo, and saw the horror in his eyes when he realized he had shot him.
However, there wasn't any time to linger. He had to act fast.
Grabbing the spot Matteo shot him, which was bleeding heavily, he rolled into the hole he had dug to test for the presence of the railway.
His other hand holding his gun, dragged his tool bag with him.
The hole offered him a bit of protection, so he could plan his next move. But because there wasn't much time to think, he just acted.
One hand pressed the bleeding spot in hopes it would reduce the outpour of blood, while the other lifted his gun, and just opened fire.
Despite how bad his condition was, he made a mental note not to fire to his left. Matteo was to his left.
The more he fired, the more dizzy he became.
