The afternoon of the next day, Zella was discharged from the hospital.
Luciano took the twins to the car, whilst Valentina waited behind to speak to doctor Maxwell.
"I thought Luciano wanted you out of his city?" She asked, as he walked her out of the hospital.
"Yeah I thought so too. Then he called and told me I could stay, the day after the DNA test result was handed to him. He apologised for being reactionary, but made me swear I wouldn't do anything else to destroy his trust in me. So if you're planning on asking me to do anything for you that'd make me look bad again, don't even." He raised a warning finger.
She laughed heartily. "That's fine. I wouldn't do that to you again. I'm really glad you didn't leave. Thank you for being here for me and my baby girl."
They arrived at the car, and doctor Maxwell hugged her goodbye.
"You're always welcome Val," he whispered to her, before they separated.
Valentina slid into the backseat with the twins, and Luciano drove away.
